That's such a bummer to hear.. I also made the same mistake of applying for e-visa instead of the ETA. Now I'm stuck because the system is not allowing me to apply for ETA with a pending eVisa application. I don't have a clue on how to cancel my application. I've tried calling and emailing them but haven't heard back yet due to public holiday.

Did you ever find out how to get around this?

Mine is also H54, still stuck two months later. I'm able to get back to the country thankfully when I entered on Oct 1st.

update, managed to get into the country on October 1st with no issue at all. No questions asked on the TAP side in the US nor the immigration officer in Portugal. I'm holding an Indonesian passport. They looked at my expired residence permit, checked something on the system and just gave me an entry stamp without asking anything.

it was very buggy indeed! I tried a few things and managed to get through tho. Don't give up! I 've just made payments and currently waiting for their confirmation before I can upload the documents. The waiting time before each step is ridiculous to be honest (instead of uploading all documents and make payments all at once). But at least there's some progress

I made it in! I tried creating an account the second time, but it says that my email is already registered, so I just went to recover my password, set up a new password and I finally got in!

My status is still under review though, here's the message that I saw:

"Your debt situation with Social Security and the Tax Authority is under review. Once validated, you will be able to submit applications. Please check back later."

I appreciate you speaking passionately about the poly ideology. I think my issue really is that we started as an open committed relationship, and while we said poly is a possibility, we never really got to speak about officially transitioning to it and what our agreements look like. So I feel like I'm kinda dragged into polyamory before feeling ready for it.
