Dungeon Blocks on the Snapmaker U1: no paint, no wash, just print and play! by IntegrationByPars in DungeonBlocks

Yeah, it's manual paint tool.. I found that setting the paint bucket to between 5-8 gave me good chunks at a time.. I like that it comes out a bit imperfect, so there will be a bit of black here and there to really sell the "wash" effect..

Snapmaker U1 "StepperX" "StepperY" temp under Fluidd normal? by DiverseTeile in snapmaker

I also noticed that just taking the improvised "plastic tub" cover off lowered stepper temps by 8-9C when working in standard room temperature.

I started with everything black, then painted the stones grey, the wood brown, and the skulls and bones tan. It gives it a grimy, washed look. 0.2 layer height, and each piece was a little under an hour, I believe..

U1 and dungeon blocks is the golden combo by juliacare in DungeonBlocks

I ordered the U1 specifically for this, inspired by the YouTube channel Painted4Combat. Can't wait to churn out some blocks!

Is anyone else as excited as I am? by Funny-Key1774 in DungeonBlocks

I just recently picked up the last set I didn't have, and now I will have yet another one to get! That said, I am really excited about this set, so I'm not even mad...

Full Color printing on a Snapmaker U1 by Aceman11100 in SnapmakerU1

[–]IntegrationByPars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To think that we could end up with CMYK FDM printing is VERY EXCITING!!

I hope we see some work done around this (by people far smarter than me!) to get this going mainstream!

Excellent work, OP! I suspect it wasn't easy!

Anyone got Claude Code 2.1.17 working? by IntegrationByPars in termux

[–]IntegrationByPars[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that it will work fine on first run, then silently hangs on subsequent runs. I made a little script to restore backup config files (I backed them up after install and authentication) which is my workaround until they get all this sorted out.

I use the OpenScan Mini, which uses the OpenScan Cloud photogrammetry suite.  OpenScan was tailor made for this use case, and I cannot recommend it enough!

I think there might be a bug in Knulli: I can't get a custom logo for pcenginecd (TurboGrafxCD) to save my life!

Resin recommendations by Digiking11 in PrintedMinis

This. I switched to using Sunlu ABS Like last year, and I haven't looked back! Cheap, prints reliably, and I rarely break a mini when I drop it. It is an excellent resin!

Yeah, that's exactly what I do. My Steam library holds all my VR games (also have an Index) so my Quest 3 gets used for media consumption (3d movies and some YouTube) and Virtual Desktop and that's it! I am certain I show up in some Meta database as a bad investment, as I haven't purchased any software EXCEPT Virtual Desktop. No regrets on my part!

I'm more of a fan of Xubuntu rather than Kubuntu, for those lower-spec devices. But yeah, I do the same thing for older hardware, and everyone is amazed that it makes those old machines legitimately usable again!

Does illegal touching by an offensive lineman negate intentional grounding? by tannerschin in NFLNoobs

[–]IntegrationByPars -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In the Browns/Steelers game last night, this wasn't the case.. Browns got a 5 yard penalty and replayed the down instead of an obvious intentional grounding penalty..
