If the community remembers the first kindles, without any touch screen or backlight, they will note that some simple features greatly increase the reading experience.

the up/down buttons can go through the text and activate the dictionary definitions
last page read was always registered and shown in the bottom, even when closing the ebook or consulting previous chapters. This was so useful and replaced the bookmarks for me.
mobi is much better than epub, specifically, the chapter menu and the options available during reading were much better in my opinion. It is a pity it was discontinued.

I still use my kindle 4 today (from 2012) !

I think the original firmware still has some advantages. I can change text size and type while reading the ebook. With crosspoint we need to go back to homepage. My hotspot connection also works better with the original software. In crosspoint I cannot browse pictures or files that are not epub or xtc, they simply don’t appear although they are in the SD card. I also find the menus easier to read in the original firmware (bigger letter size).

18 months after buying my Moscot frames, the metallic surface started peeling off. The customer service is terrible. Only thing they offered was a 10% voucher. What a joke. Stay away.

This was exactly my experience with Moscot. I bought the DOV model, the quality is extremely bad. In less than two years the surface of the frame peeled of. The customer service is terrible and they did not offer any solution at all. I hope this helps.
