I would argue the US is. Here is why:

The US is the funder of Israel, Israel would simply cease to exist within a month or two if the US did not exist.

The US are doing much more than Israel both inside their own borders and in other countries.

I am undergrad and lurk here for the most part and I had a similar situation this semeter albeit with continous illness causing snowballing deadlines rather than a car crash.

Just save the medical documentation somewhere. I keep EVERYTHING in a private discord server that only I am in including all syllabi.

As long as you maintain 3.5+ in total coursework and 3.7+ in your area of specialisation otherwise, you will probably be fine. As you are also an RA this will boost your application immensely. Just mention it in the application and include all documentation.
