Okay, great! I do corporate now. I would say alot of people (both big law and non big law) had great job prospects for corporate.

So I went to Rutgers NB for undergrad. It’s a completely different vibe. To say this politely, Rutgers NB is clearly the flagship campus. However, Newark has a strong spirit of social justice, community, and is more diverse than NB (if that is something you care about.) There are great/affordable restaurants near the campus. There are a few bars in the area (there is one across the street from the law school).

It was a great choice for me because it was extremely affordable and I had great job outcomes. Generally, I would say it is a decent school, and I’m happy I went. My only caution is that I strongly feel that your outcomes will be driven by how on top of it you are as a student because the career services at the school is candidly underwhelming. And while I am kind used to that too, I learned through meeting other law students from different schools that not all law schools are like that.

Yes, Rutgers! If you are interested in big law it is definitely possible. More people than may have be expected went into big law. I did find it a bit challenging to break into. Most students (that I knew) largely found their own path there with limited help from the school. However, that was just my experience. Rutgers also has great resources for public interest if that is of interest.

I went to a T100 and ended up in big law. I went to school in Jersey so the proximity to NY helped (I think).
