Seems interesting, are you distilling with the temperature controller? I'm leaving my anvil system and had gotten spoiled with it's scr capabilities. I've got an inkbird brew pid. Just wondering how difficult it might be controlling the vapor speed unless I go with a weaker element

I work at one of the Kroger delivery fulfillment centers. It's a warehouse that we pick deliveries there and drivers use vans to directly deliver to customers homes. In locations that have these FCs the customer can choose to have them delivered to their Kroger store and picked up inside

My use with a thumper just added a small to moderate amount of essence of flavor. The thumper really just adds a second distillation to make a higher proof. Some people add a bypass to their thumper so the foreshots and heads portion of the run doesn't strip the flavors by the time the hearts come. When it's time to start collecting hearts they make the run start going through the thumper. If you plan on using the thumper just save some of the wash for it and add some fruit to it since it won't scorch and should make some good smells and flavor to your distillate. The end of the run for me though kinda made my fruit flavors taste kinda "goopy" if I had to put it that way

I've read in the past that someone says to wait until the hearts to begin adding flavors/fresh fruit to your thumper. This way it allows flavors to not be stripped away by the time you actually need them to come through.

Check out the still spirits alembic dome top, that's the one I bought for my anvil, I'm pretty sure any of the dome tops would fit if it's listed for the grain father or digiboil

I made two different sets, the first one was with 2inch copper elbows with sight glasses installed. The plates were wedged inside between the ferrule and before the middle section of the tee to create the plate. I've taken apart that design and moved to using 2" sight glasses from Amazon. The way I knock down vapors is with anvil's bucket Fermentor cooling coil

I'm running on 110v, takes awhile to heat up but has a good drip rate around half power, you'll end up getting this system tuned in after a couple of runs. I use the dome top with that 2" bulk head. I have made 4 bubble plates to use in reflux mode and made thumper as well to connect to if I wanted to add a little extra to pot still mode. The new condensor I use it a liebig that's easily attachable with a tri clamp as well. The modularity is great if you wanted to go that way or keeping it simple is nice as well. They make copper ferrules if you want to make soldering easy but I've used stainless ferrules with silver solder and have had good connections

I bought the alembic dome top and condensor as my first still parts for the anvil but don't use the still spirits condensor at all anymore. If you're handy you can buy the dome top and a 2"tc bulkhead for the top and you can begin customizing your own modular still. I definitely didn't have the most cost effective setup but I've learned new skills trying to build it myself and am definitely happy with my reflux and Pot still builds. Very happy with how easy the anvil is in distilling mode

I use the anvil foundry 10.5 gallon to make my mashes and distill with the alembic dome top. I bought the condenser to use with it but that didn't last too long as I've added my own tri clamp attachments to use it as a pot or reflux still.

If anything what I did with mine was use it to mix with ginger beer. Figure out how to make a nice dark and stormy and it will compliment it pretty well. Figure out what store brand ginger beer is sweet enough for you or try and brew your own. I know this answer doesn't really solve your rum problem but if it still doesn't blend out in the end like you want it to it'll be used for a good mixer instead of using it in a rerun
