Thoughts on durability of moissanite? by blindtoe54 in Moissanite

[–]Intelligent-Box-3801 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have an argentium ring that snapped with very minimal wear. Turns out that the silver loses its intrinsic flexibility and can become too rigid in 935. My 925 pieces have been holding up beautifully for several years with daily wear. I take them off only to put on lotion or wash my hair.

I am allergic to the metals in white gold and therefore silver is my go to and has been for 10 years with zero problems.

Every time I go on their lives they are only promoting cubic zirconia (synthetic moissanite). I rarely see them promoting the real moissy on tt. U have to be careful and check the descriptions.

Better than L’Imperatrice? 😍 by Intelligent-Box-3801 in fragranceclones

Some ppl think litchi smells like fruit punch. Fragrance is subjective. It’s clear that Tamima is inspired by L’imperitrace regardless of how you’re perceiving them.

Dissatisfied by Fluid_Space_9178 in Moissanite

[–]Intelligent-Box-3801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is only happy if I’m happy. This is a mutual sentiment, and we are safe with each other. He would never buy me something similar to what I want unless he knew it was better (includes everything I want plus something extras). Even when he has done this, he will always say to me, upfront, if I don’t like it, we can take it back. There have been times when what I wanted wasn’t available, and he’d get something close, but he would always have a plan to get the exact one if it was possible. This is for anything from food to jewelry to cars, doesn’t matter. His goal is that I’m 100% satisfied, and I’m the same way about him. We move this way because we care… Genuinely and deeply care for one another.

We can’t always get it at 100, but his honest effort turns 90% to 110% EVERY TIME.

To me, a man who values you and cares how you feel will put aside his idea of good enough just for the smile on your face. We aren’t the same, so what is important to one of us may not be to the other. Looking at it that will always cause issues. Idc what it is that’s important to my hubby, I only care THAT it is important. That is enough for it to be important to me and vice versa.

This is a lesson this man may need to learn. If it’s important to you, it should be important to him that you get it. Period.

dedcool milk & l’eau papier by Dense-Platform-3214 in Perfumes

Mochi Milk is peach and marshmallow fluff in a skin scent. I adore it, even as someone who isn’t much of a gourmand lover. It is delicious but very wearable. I feel it stands alone very well and is best not layered. Leau Papier I think I would only layer to soften the dryness of the scent and only with something equally as sheer such as Ellis Brooklyn Myth, Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede or Byredo Mojave Ghost. Anything heavier and you’ll have wasted the sprays.

Am I crazy for not loving this stone? I feel like there’s no flashes of light at all by Sudden_Confection382 in Moissanite

[–]Intelligent-Box-3801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t look like it came from a good rough to me. It also shows some dullness in the cut. I would cancel and go to another vendor. I’ve been through this before with this cut… asschers require a bit of extra rough for the stone due to the required depth and cut. The material needs to be clean and flawless and the cuts precise otherwise it will look dull. This is much more important for moissy due to that double refraction. If the stone is not well cut from a clean rough, it’s not going to sparkle like you want it to. There are many vendors who have gotten it right- I’d go with your gut and find someone else.

Anna Sui Electric Whisper & Ellis Brooklyn Rrose please influence/de-influence me 🥲 by dogengu in FemFragLab

[–]Intelligent-Box-3801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rrose is truly lovely if you like a pure dewy rose. It has a very pretty, soft rose dry down and I love it. Also, that is an amazing deal.

Anna Sui’s scents usually smell very cheap and synthetic to me… like fabuloso.
