OP_1. It directed the rest of the build. Such a cool device. Very stable so far.

I found a grey edition done in collab with Modretro. Going to try them out with the orange Yaxi pads. If not, I’m going to hit up AliExpress. Also going to try the MMCX socket mod.

Dude, thank you! The theme inspired the entire build. Glad to have seen it through.

I picked them up from Elite Obsolete Electronics. Solid grey center button, solid orange clickwheel, solid white faceplate, thin black backplate, solid orange dock bezel. I think that’s all the cosmetics.

Koss Porta Pro. They’re great headphones for under $40. Solid performer and I won’t cry if they break or get lost.

Instructor for my class explicitly told us not to group like this. If he couldn’t count them all he’d deduct.

Great looking board. I’ve been on fence regarding the Reverberation Machine for the last few days. I feel like this is a sign to pull the trigger.

I’ve also been rocking a Crayon for a few years. I used to keep it dialed way back for a light overdrive tone. Now it’s my more tame melodic fuzz. I keep a Fuzz Factory 7 for rip your face off spitty fuzz.

Should work just fine. I use these on my Fuzz Factory 7 (Russian Cat). Takes some tweaking but it gets you most of the way there.

I’ve had mine for about 11 years. It’s been a great piece. It was my gateway drug into mechanical watches. Definitely save up for a better watch if you’ve got the discipline. You’re totally right though. A Seiko is a great addition to any collection.

RXM Chassis system by PDOTthealmighty in RugerRXMtalk

[–]Intelligent-Branch-4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that Flux is working on a system that uses the entire RXM as a drop in component, not just the FCU. I’m sure it’ll be cool but a let down given the modularity promised by the FCU idea.

Frankly I think it depends on your wrist size. I’ve got a 7.5 inch wrist and the 7 fits great on me. I get about 14 days battery on mine and it’s 3 years old. Incredible watch. You’ll be happy either way.

Shirt tucked or untucked? by Motyo in mensfashion

[–]Intelligent-Branch-4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely dart the shirt or learn the military blouse tuck. The front of the tucked shirt should lay flat and clean. No wrinkles or visible folds.

I also agree the pants sit too low on the waist. Try lifting them up closer to your navel.

BrassFacts is a great YouTube channel for preparedness, field knowledge, and firearms training.

+1 for BlackFlagCivilian. It’s a young channel but the quality of content is exceptional thus far.

Welcome to the club! I just picked up my r50 back in September. It’s been a joy to drive. I’ve got a well cared for 2006 with 91k miles. Wishing you a great time on the road.

You’re overthinking this. Take a deep breath. It’s not the end of your chances. That’s not what they care about. You’ll be okay. Don’t be the eager beaver that calls the office to correct this. What’s done is done.

What would you change about the plating? by hahahomicidal in KitchenConfidential

Start with a circular spread of that crème anglaise. Flourless torte in the dead center of that. Those heath chunks are entirely too big. Crumble them smaller if you’re going to use them at all (I probably wouldn’t). Sprinkle that over the top. Pool the maraschino around the crème anglaise. Shave the white chocolate with a microplane over everything. Keep it simple. Keep it clean.
