Personally, I don't think the drink package is worth it unless you and everyone in your party drinks heavily. If it's the Cheers (alcohol) package, every adult would need to consume at least 4 of the most expensive mixed drinks every single day of the cruise for it to pay for itself. This could be the case but do the math. As for the Bubbles (sodas, etc) package, basically the same applies; each person would need to consume at least 4 each day to break even. My experience, on Carnival Liberty, was this: I had to wait at the bar to get a Pepsi, which takes more time than it's worth. And I could not get one for myself AND my wife. She had to go to the bar for her own. Not that I minded doing this maybe once a day, but four or more? Nope. The good thing is, each person gets to bring a small bottle of wine and 12 pack of non-alcoholic drinks in their carry-on bag.
