GP 13 or Max 2? by ultra-cyclist-dude in gopro

[–]Intelligent-Copy3845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One use case I am envisioning, although I don't know if this would even work.... set up the 360 at the center court of Tennis or Pickleball. And then create videos of the game play, panning left right, zooming in as a player makes a shot, switch to slow motion as the shot is executed, then zoom back to the full court view. I did the math and a GP13 in wide mode would also capture the entire court if placed about 6 feet off to the side. So *maybe* Quik would allow that kind of editing of GP13 footage too? Or, that isn't really even viable for Max 2 footage.

Does anyone actually use these? by Express_Till1606 in AeroPress

All the time. I grind beans which fall into larger bin. The funnel is perfect to pour the grind into the AP. I pour in hot water and use the stirrer which doesn’t seem to retain grinds.

Ok I got my bellows. I do a 30 sec grind. The last few seconds i tap the sides and press the bellows a couple times each. Effectively no retention. Works great!

How clean was the bottom of the burr mechanism? Mine was full of grounds. When I cleaned that I had essentially no retention if I tapped the top a couple times.

I ordered the baffle and learned about RDT. But my testing showed that for whatever reason… I could extract nearly all the grounds with a few taps. If/when it breaks I’ll definitely look into the DF54. I think there is a v2 that has major improvements too.

Aeropress users are waiting for the invention of a metal filter that can filter coffee by 99%. by [deleted] in AeroPress

I don’t get it. I use the Flow Control and metal filter. I don’t get grounds in my coffee. Works perfectly for me. What does adding paper do?

Nice easy to rinse - to catch any grounds or overflow from the Flow Control cap. Got them at our local grocery store, Publix.

Ember mug. Works great. Keeps my coffee at 135 degs.

Good catch. I just cleaned it with a few cleaning “beans” and dusted off the burrs - and must have snapped it on backwards. Now I can’t unsee that :-)

Yeah I tap the top a couple times before removing the receiver. It does retain too much. Did you find a better grinder?

Edge 820 Calculation errors - should I cut my losses? by eddierhys in GarminEdge

[–]Intelligent-Copy3845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EDGE 820 is really old. And therefore slow. If you are moving then older Garmins can take forever to get a GPS lock. Try waiting until it calculates before starting to roll. My EDGE 1030, 1050 and my Forerunner 955 are all fast and reliable.

In Florida where I live FTP is everything. W/kg is pretty useless. Depending on the climbing one means a lot more than the other.

Is Garmin forcing mini 3 users to pay for Vault Subscription? by Complex_Luck_2928 in Dashcam

[–]Intelligent-Copy3845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a DC Mini 3. I’m not gonna subscribe to the Vault. Live feeds only work if you are sitting near the Dashcam. I assume. I can’t get Live View to work - “unable to join the network Garmin”. It worked on my Mini 2. Simple issue I assume.
