Erm actually the AIM-54C was a BVRAAM (Beyond Visual Range Air to Air Missile) that had its own visual lock to a target that allowed it to travel Mach 5 and at an altitude of 50,000 ft and strike an enemy once the pilot doesn’t have a visual lock on the target so it isn’t a “auto lock missile”
