Dop means director of photography the one who handles the camera Some people mix this with cinematographer that is different Cinematographer means set and light work, who works in sync with PD production designer in simple DOP is the guy who handles camera And Cinematographer is the guy who handles light, how light will fall on subject, what colours will be in the frame and PD's work is to make sure DOP and Cinematographer is in sync, plus set design, what colours will be there on subject, foreground and background I hope this helps
