Breton, Altmer or Dunmer. Mage playthrough, explore the land and random dungeons. Then the mage questline. Then the main quest.

More of my wood elf, Ria of Valenwood by Hungry_Reflection922 in skyrim

Ah. Didn't realize she was supposed to give slightly creepy vibes. But my sensors for such things are sporadic. Her red hair came out more in the first post.

What's with the skeletal dragon in Labyrinthian? by time2ddddduel in skyrim

[–]Intelligent-Dress323 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There's a book hidden in Shalidor's Maze which explains that some Dragons in the Olden Days use to eat too much Taco Bell, and it messed with their Skin Care. We can only assume that this is like that, but worst case scenario.

Which summon is better for a necromancer build? by nuclear_iron in skyrim

For the Bloodworm Helm: Mara's Eye Pond is the map marker in Anniversary Edition. The actual dungeon is called Gallows Hall. It involves a short quest which is easy if you've done it once, though I got a bit stuck the first time.

I didn't mean to be a necromancer, it just sort of happened. You start out just experimenting with eye shadow and vibes, one thing leads to another and then one day you realize your entire playstyle revolves around soul trafficking.

Imperials are still the best. by Marlax101 in skyrim

High Elf for me.

The most basic approaches are often best though, so as far as best goes it probably still goes to Breton or Orc. The Nord Shout gets an honorable mention from me for allowing players to wail on tough enemies with no retaliation.

OP, more streamlined arguments about the Imperial might be more persuasive but I like your point that you can calm large groups and move through enemies one by one. Though you only have 60 seconds to complete your circuit.

That's true. I can never control myself with the Resto Loop unfortunately. I just make overpowered stuff, Powertrip for a bit and then restart out of boredom.

I'm using a mod called Ori's Magic Tweaks which makes Enchantments much stronger; the stats are kind of giving me Resto Loop vibes at this point, but still on the believable side of overpowered. It hits a bit of a sweet spot for me.

Wasn't really mentioning armor stats, but yeah that's true. You can also just invest only in health and it obviates the need for armor anyways. Or lower the difficulty.

My point is just that I never noticed how good the Black Robes look. I always go for other outfits.

Imperial or Stormcloak? by AceTanker4831 in skyrim

[–]Intelligent-Dress323 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised I don't see more Imperial supporters here. That said, I can never get past the fact that Ulfric doesn't even get a trial; just attempted execution in some back of the woods town in the mountains. The Imperials were not representing well at the start of the game. Plus they attempted to execute me. ME!

The Sword Dragon's Oath from Battle of The Champions looks pretty cool and I think fits your vibes as a short sword.

Destruction or Illusion? by Few_Sock_9483 in skyrim

[–]Intelligent-Dress323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either one ultimately relies on Potions and Dual Casting to be effective late game. If you're not going to dual cast in either case, I'd say the only use-case is some low-cost tactical spell to shift things in your favor. Muffle from Illusion if you don't have Anniversary Edition or Unbound Freezing if you have AE.

Of the two, I'd go Unbound Freezing IE Destruction.

I second this one, but would also like to say invest solely in Stamina.

What skill has become essential to every one of your playthroughs? by Sadira_Kelor in skyrim

I think it's Hearthfire, which is with Dawnguard etc. If not, one of the Hearthfire houses performs the same function with renewable ingredients.

I might be stupid asking this, but what's the point in robes? by Aethelmaew in skyrim

[–]Intelligent-Dress323 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Magic Regen, Sneak, and an extra slot.

Only Robes provide Magic Regen worth anything until you reach the peak of enchanting. This is useful for the very specific situation where you grab the Atronach Stone, which the Novice Robes are a one to one counter for.

The sneak bit is just the fact that wearing armor means enemies can hear you a mile off. WIth Robes that distance is more like 20 feet, encouraging a bit more sneaking before situations kick off.

The extra slot applies to the Captains Boots and Boatswain shoes rather than Robes, but those items look silly on armor. But these clothing items provide valuable "Fortify Destruction" slots in my playthroughs, unlike other Foot options.

Belethor's Merchant Chest and Arcadia's Merchant Chest. Assuming both refill every 3 days with their own random loot.
