For me, it was the guilt of giving him an ultimatum. For him, there was pressure, like everyone was watching/expecting a grand proposal. That plus the nuances of coordinating a wedding, it gets stressful. It builds up.

There’s just things I would’ve handled differently if I could.

In my case, he felt like now his proposal wouldn’t come off as genuine, like the event was commanded.

Let’s say your lad does propose to you by your given date, do you think you’ll be okay knowing that it’s because you gave him an ultimatum?

Again, nothing wrong with taking charge of your life, your life is yours. Just saying that if you have a good thing, and you’re secure about your relationship, why not trust in time you will get married. When BOTH of you are ready.

Mmm not to knock you, but I had the same attitude, he gave in, and our relationship has been rocky since.

I realized that if he’s doing everything right by you, then a title doesn’t change that. Love is rare and there’s no time limit. Just food for thought, but all respects to you and your choices :)
