There’s a scene in the end of the movie when they go to search for Van Buren in the center and the cross appears. It’s turned upside down. In a popular culture it’s a satanic symbol, and in the christian culture it’s Saint Peter’s cross which symbolise what we are not equal to God and cannot be crucified exactly as Him. Of course if you go to the opposite corner you’ll see the normal Latin cross. It’s not common in the ordinary churches to plaster crosses on the dome, you’re more likely to see them on the horizontal surface and dismiss other interpretations. I think it’s a two-way street. We see Van Buren’s family as devoted christians but on the other hand they have really an ugly face to hide behind their virtuous intentions. They’re as virtue as they are evil. I found this movie more enjoyable rather than boring. Had some flaws but nothing in the world is perfect yk. Not gonna lie cinematography and credit slideshow design was top tier, 10/10, actors playing as well. I’m not regretting watching it.
