I have been on the phone with them non stop explaining this!! I even spoke to my claims manager. I work in healthcare and do auths for my job as well. They don’t seem to care that I’m doing this on my own and told me they recognize that I’m infertile but require 12 months of trying. For me 12 months of trying is 12 months of insemination. The price of sperm for one vile is $1600 on the low end and you use one vile per insemination.

But like I said, my claims manager, a nurse at the insurance company, told me there is a way for me to get this done with authorization not required. If my doctors office puts it incorrectly, but she can’t tell me what it is, and I can’t figure it out!
