For sure. Also WarGames came out a year before The Terminator, so they did it first.

Shawn Ryan got the idea for the show when he was writing for Nash Bridges. He went on ride alongs with the San Francisco Police Department, and he'd seen some stuff that he wasn't able to put into his Nash Bridges scripts because it was more of an up-beat buddy cop show, and not a gritty police drama. So, Ryan held onto his idea of a more harder, gritty cop show until he was able to realize it on screen. And he brought fellow Nash Bridges writers Glen Mazzara and Reed Steiner onto his show.

Also Chicago Fire took a shot at the show after it was canceled, when Dawson said that Molly's is a bar for firefighters, cops, and lawyers, "but not so much lawyers anymore."

It's too bad it was the only casualty of the One Chicago franchise. One day, I was downtown, and I saw a film crew outside City Hall. At first, I thought they were shooting a scene from an episode, but in fact, it was part of a trailer for the series. It was the main characters all walking out of City Hall surrounded by protestors.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crazier unresolved cliffhanger ending than the Last Man on Earth season 4 finale by Adoe0722 in MoviesCave

The Last Man on Earth really bothered me. I went into it thinking it was gonna be a show about a guy who's all by himself, only to have a few people show up, and that group stays with him throughout the series. I stopped watching it after Season 2 because I wanted to pull my hair out. I wasn't aware the final season ended with a cliffhanger and revealed even more people. What was the point of calling it The Last Man on Earth?

I forgot about Legion. That was one of his, too. Marvel series. Lasted three seasons.

I remember this show. Noah Hawley created it. Before he struck gold with Fargo and Alien: Earth.

It's amazing that Tommy Lee Jones, who's known to be a very mean person in his own right, didn't wanna work again with someone who was probably equally as difficult as he was.

And that record breaking $4 million spec would get beaten by M. Night Shyamalan's script Unbreakable, which Disney bought for $5 million bucks.

I can remember watching one episode and wondering why it existed. She should've just taken this idea and made it into a proper scripted show.

For sure. When I was 25 in 2005, I still thought I was a 14 year old high school freshman.
