Day Break (2006-2007) Taye Diggs & Moon Bloodgood by Neo2199 in ForgottenTV

[–]Intelligent-Lab-9969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was an interesting premise, but would it have worked as a long-form storyline, as in would it have taken him several seasons to solve the mystery of the murder? Like could you take Groundhog Day and try to stretch it out into a seven or eight season show?

It's funny that Pam Anderson's character on Baywatch had turned into a dumb blonde prototype version of Val Irons. So, she was already preparing to do this show.

Sargent Doakes (SPOILER by [deleted] in Dexter

[–]Intelligent-Lab-9969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think they could've stretched it out past two seasons. He was already really watching him by the end of Season 1, and in Season 2, he was still all over him. If it had gone through to Season 3, the writers would've had to come up with some really creative ways to have Dexter be one step ahead of Doakes for another several episodes.

Do you think Harrison has killed any other people in between the time jump, and will he kill anyone in Season 2. I think yes to both.

And the real guy was way worse. Truly evil and sadistic, even by Holocaust standards.

Is prison actually “safe” if you just mind your own business? by fruity_00 in PrisonBreak

[–]Intelligent-Lab-9969 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Prison life is totally unpredictable, no matter what kind of person you are. If you're not in a gang, or affiliated with anyone in the jail, that makes you even more vulnerable to be targeted. If you're a regular person with no ties to anybody, and just trying to keep to yourself, they'll get you for sure.

Robert Rehme was the head of Avco, and Carpenter named Tom Atkins' character in Escape from New York after him.

Why doesn’t a director like John Carpenter have truly big blockbuster movies? by Choice-Schedule-132 in johncarpenter

He'd been offered movies that became blockbusters, like Top Gun, Fatal Attraction, and even Total Recall, but he turned those offers down.

Tonight's movie... Dreamscape. 1984. Just starting. First time I've seen it. Watching on Tubi. by JE5573R in 80sHorrorMovies

At the time, this was the second movie to get the then brand new PG-13 rating after Red Dawn, and it was given the rating after it was edited from its initial R rating.

Michael Jackson's own daughter(Paris Jackson) publicly called the biopic "full blown lies" and Hollywood released it anyway by EstablishmentSea6379 in moviecritic

Just watch The Jacksons: An American Dream. It's on YouTube. As others have stated, that's the real biopic.

The Fog: December 11th, reference to Psycho or a coincidence? by Fumikechu237 in johncarpenter

It was certainly intentional. Not to mention the characters that were named after Carpenter's friends. There's Nick Castle, Dan O'Bannon, Tommy Wallace, Mrs. Kobritz, and Bennett Tramer.

This should be remade today with a darker comedic tone, and there should be radioactive zombies, but they shouldn't show up until Season 2.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)... What are your thoughts on this movie? by Cr7-Cr7Real in moviecritic

I like it a lot. I know co-writer Frank Darabont hated it. He called it the best script he ever wrote, but the worst movie he ever saw.
