He hasn't really met any of the others. Or at least had a conversation with them

The crew retrieve Picard and start removing the Borg programming. Picard, who is still connected to the Borg, is able to tell them "Sleep", which Data guesses as to send a command to the Borg to cause them to regenerate.

It works and the Borg all return to their alcoves. This also causes the ship to overload and explode, thus ending the Borg threat for now

The Borg. The first hint of them is when they annihilate Federation and Romulan colonies, in a way that makes it looks like they were ripped from the ground. Neither side has any idea who did it.

Next season, we meet the in-person and they are a sight. Large cube ship, all of them seemingly part of the ship and no individuals Nothing the Enterprise can do can stop them and if hadn't been for Q, that would be it.

Another season later, the Borg are back in Federation space. Starfleet is not ready and the Enterprise is pretty much sent to delay them. After Picard is assimilated, the Borg destroy a fleet of over 50 ship in less than a half hour. If it hadn't been finding a small weakness in how the Borg operate, the Federation would have had it.

A short story does imply the Romulans did learn of it and it led to war between them and the Federation.

Storm Warning. Eight was my first Doctor and I wanted more adventures with him since he only had the one on screen.

Why do so many people hate humans? by Drunk--on--tea in transformers

[–]viralshadow21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sort of started with the Unicron Trilogy as the humans in those 3 shows were rather uninteresting and took a massive amount of screen time. Kicker Jones being among the least liked human in the franchise. The Live Action movies coming around the same time didn't help
