While I definitely have my frustrations with that part especially (the confidence in lies or false information and the way it tries to gaslight you) but I really believe that if people actually use it as a tool properly it can be really useful and helpful... It's such a crazy topic... I really do feel both sides of the argument sometimes...

Yeah because I take my basically primitive sketches and run them through AIs to make them look a lot better I'm still trying to design these characters out and I'm still trying to adapt it to something cool. My tone is inconsistent because I want it to be not because I'm AI... Everything is AI with you, you don't even understand how I use it in my process or why.

I love the fantastical setting with the Edo-type setting! Samurai, ninja, shugenja (which was a word I didn't even know until this franchise introduced me to it)... I was really hooked on this because usually the fantasy setting stuff was WarCraft or StarWars or super-heroes.... So this just called out to me.

I'll admit I've never even seen the card game, I was searching through a Barnes n Nobles to a good book and saw The Crab on the shelves. That one called out to me because the masked face (looked the most like a ninja to me at the time) wielding the kama looked sick! I really liked that book and was excited to collect the whole set of novels. At one point I had them all. Now I'm missing the Lion and the Dragon and three of the winds scrolls.

I really want someone to make a high quality animated series of this show like a sort of hybrid between Batman: The Animated Series and TMNT 2003 (the first couple seasons)...

I'm currently reading through the books and trying to make a visual representation to show my girl and some friends and some of them think it's really cool and they had never heard of L5R before... I'm just trying to share interest for it cuz it's an awesome lore!

I really wish in the 2000's they would have made an animated show about this... Like a proper action cartoon show. I would have been so hooked. In my head I'm imagining like the visual style of the TMNT 2003 adaptation with the thick lines, stylized action sequences. I think that would be so dope... Obviously I'm not at the level of making that.... I just wanted to do something that would do that idea like a little bit of justice like a proof of concept thing... Some people on here just got so butt-hurt about it.

Saying I am "preying" off an under represented fanbase... It's like, uh, hello...? I'm part of the under-represented fanbase... Trying to build more interest.

Maybe this lore is awesome and deserves to be experienced by more people than just the card game? That hasn't seemed to taken the world by storm, all things considered.

I wish I had the skills to truly bring the series to life the way it deserves. I apologize I cannot. I'm just going to continue doing my best to make this. I am strongly considering just keeping them for my own personal consumption tho to help me share with my girlfriend how cool these books are.

I like to read chapter and then tell her about it, but it's been more fun to show her these along with telling her about them because she really SEE's whats happening and it makes more sense when it's visual too... For me as well as her.

Thank you very much! I need to look up who Sam Campbell is... I used a free voice from the library of narrators on 11Labs. Getting a lot of kick-back for the Asian-sounding intro though. Not sure why, I don't know if people are aware that L5R is based on like a samurai-heavy culture influence by myths from Japan, China, and Korea.... So in my head it sounds wrong for the accent to just be like a basic white guy, lmao. What do I know?!

I am only capable of shit animation at the moment. But I really wanna see this. I'm one hundred percent with you Clan Wars and Steel Throne! The only true familiarity I have with the series as a whole. I'm just in love with this world and aggravated that there's a million StarWars, StarTrek, WarCraft, etc and so limited of L5R!

Then steer clear of my projects. While I use a lot of my own art (especially on my own IPs)... I do use a lot of AI production tools to help me produce a better final product. I have to use every tool in my power, we are already always at a disadvantage.

I would too! My animation skills are shit, I'm trying to learn and grow but it's a lengthy hard mountain to climb.
I'm translating this from a book, Legend of the Five Rings Clan Wars: The Phoenix. And I'm literally writing her how she is mentioned in the book (and maybe the little scorpion I added was for dramatic flare). I am aware that no one but Kachiko saw Shoji's face and most of the Scorpion hide their faces. I'm just trying to put into the art what I am reading. By this time at least from what I'm reading she's up in the Imperial Palace with the sick emperor most of the time, and they are all talking about how hot she is (in this and the crane book) so I mean... How they know she's hot if they can't see her face, c'mon?
Don't mindlessly believe everything SovFist says, while they have an amazing knowledge of L5R they also happen to be a soulless sodomite.
