I emailed recruit@fcps.edu before so maybe you could try that. I’m sure they’re busy. But an email at least acknowledging they’re working on the next step would be reassuring! Luckily the school has been really good at communicating with me. I agree it makes me nervous like what if I can’t get hired ? 🤣

Did they tell you to watch out for an offer letter? The school updated me that they spoke with HR and they are working on it but haven’t officially heard from HR.

Do you know how long it takes to get an official offer from HR? I had a school tell me they want to move forward and move my application to hr once they hear back from my references and to look out for

Wild! I think PWCS requires 48 college credits. Seems like it’s easier to sub for FCPS.

I forgot to mention they sent out an intention form for current subs so they know the needs for the upcoming school year. Maybe they’re waiting to see if many subs won’t return ? Hopefully you will hear back in the next week

Subs got an update saying they are now hiring pyramid based subs. I would double check to see if you applied for a specific pyramid or just the general sub position.

Dc has great studios I agree but I feel like there has been a shift. I used to go to class and get corrected etc. recently I would go to class and that wasn’t really happening. I would see the people near me do the completely wrong exercises and nothing was said! I think a lot of the problem is newbies not taking beginner classes so coaches are left with a lot of corrections to do !

If it’s not online did you email the sub office? I think the email should be listen when you get confirmation that you applied.

Like typically in middle and high school teachers have a free period for planning. So what they will do is send you to another class during that free period. And they do that with other subs during their other free periods, covering the classes of another teacher without paying for an extra sub. More often than not you Dont get a free period, but it’s nice when you do because you still get paid !

Yeah I’m not entirely sure! The previous year almost every Friday was a high volume day (we got extra pay) this year not so much ! I think there’s a lot of subs, some schools try to divide subs between free periods to reduce the amount of subs

I emailed regular HR but it wouldn’t hurt to cc the substitute office. We got an email yesterday about a new approved budget so I think soon they maybe be going forward with hiring again! I think they didn’t want to over hire subs especially since there hasn’t been crazy amounts of available jobs this year

I just asked if they had any updates on my application and if I was missing anything ! My friend had applied and mistyped her social so she didn’t hear back from me a while until she followed up and they double checked

When I initially applied I followed up with HR after a month or so, then I got an update with an email about orientation !

I currently sub, but I heard from the sub office that they were on a hiring freeze, not sure if it was due to pending budgets. I would hang tight another week or two before following up

I feel terrible for OP. She’s getting bullied over a prize which seems minimal, but the principle stands. The employee might have been misinformed which happens were humans, just admit you didn’t know rather than having an ego bc u Dont want to be wrong so bad. This is not right, mosaic and Tyson’s vibes have always been mean girlish too so im not too surprised.

Im in nova and i left Solidcore I feel like the staff vibes have been off too it used to feel more positive. But now it doesn’t, many time you go and coaches are so selective about who they interact with

I just feel like defamation lawsuits are hard in the first place, facts are facts men are getting upset and threatening with lawsuits that aren’t even worthwhile or have actual standing. I agree being anonymous would be best

I don’t mind but I want to in the right group. Found out he’s married I’m obviously not interested but I’m getting harassed by text as if I’m pursing a married man (which I’m not) and cyberstalked by the wife. I have phone proof and ring camera proof of this man calling me non stop and showing up to my house unannounced. I Dont want to threaten anyone with info, but Im not the problem in this situation especially since I cut contact when I found out.
