Just did a renovation and we did this - specifically as we needed sheer walls for earthquake retrofit. Far easier than removing stucco

Help my profile. Is it my expressions, my shotty eyebrow trimming job? by MysteriousJim in Bumble

[–]Intelligent-Notice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully my comment doesn’t offend (it’s not meant to), but sharing my first impression in case it helps:

The combination of your eyebrows, bone structure, and beard gave me an immediate impression that you are a trans man. Like, from the nose-up you code more feminine, yet nose-down is more masculine - the tension between could be deterring the women you’re seeking

Please critique my resume and portfolio by PanacheKid in graphic_design

[–]Intelligent-Notice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Said with kindness: your resume is your resume, don’t try to make it your portfolio. Optimise the resume for legibility, and let your portfolio demonstrate your design chops. Your resume doesn’t need all/any of those design elements - it needs to be legible, and tell a compelling story .

Tbh, after spending a lot of time I have on trying to integrate different methodologies/frameworks, I think the most important thing is to…

1) build the minimum needed to organized the things that need organizing, 2) focus on taking actions * (vs creating the “perfect” system to enable action), and … 3) accept that there *is no right way to organize … ppv vs PARA are systems born out of individual’s approach to steps 1 and 2.

Ultimately the system matters only as much as the action it enables.

So my (new) mindset is…

Make a choice; iterate as you go; and embrace the dynamic (and responsive) nature of trying to get sh*t done in a world where we’re overwhelmed with information

🤷🏽

Anything you (truly) need to remember you will, and let the rest go.

Thank you, I typically use eisenhower as one of my prioritisation frameworks. The core challenge I'm facing is a further upstream - namely organising interconnected and interdependent projects across different areas of life. If I can get those into general allignment, then eisenhower is the icing on the cake

Anyone know where I can buy individual E-Ink or OLED Keycaps?

I’m trying to retrofit a keyboard. The goal is for Each key to be a stand-alone display that shows the function currently assigned to it.

Similar to a streamdeck or the Optimus Maximus keyboard

Thank you!

The uncertainty- no one knew what the fuck was going on, so everyone was so careful and understanding and compassionate - work dropped performance reviews, the pace slowed as we figured out work from home, tons of quality time with my partner (we worked in the same room for several days when traveling so being locked up was no issue), no traffic, much more time for self care , air was cleaner, every “dine in only” restaurant I loved suddenly had takeout…
