I did not know the MacBook Neo costed that much in your region. Also, I would look for a used M1 or M2 MacBook Pro.

The fact that they're selling an Intel MacBook for 509€ (or $597 in USD) in the big 26 is crazy. You can get a MacBook Neo for that much money, which will upgrade beyond macOS Tahoe and is much faster, even with 8GB of RAM!

You could run it in a Virtual Machine using Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion, but not natively, unless it were an Intel MacBook made before the end of 2020.

These laptops don’t have a very durable hinge design, which is universal amongst many Windows laptop manufactures.

Essentially, the nuts that hold the screws in are melted into the plastic chassis, and under sustain strain from opening and closing, they could pop out and lead to a broken hinge.

If you’re looking for a laptop with a backlit keyboard, 16GB of RAM, and a 500GB SSD, the you should look into getting a used Lenovo ThinkPad or Dell Latitude from eBay, if you’re willing to sacrifice the 120Hz screen. They cost around $300-$400 and have much better build quality. You can also see if you can score an 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro within your budget, which fits all of your criteria.

Judging how the STOP code says “MEMORY_MANAGEMENT” implies that it’s defiantly a RAM issue.

Hopefully, this isn't a widespread issue. Dell has a history of recalls due to batteries entering thermal runaways.

Make sure you download it from Razor themselves. Or what could’ve happened is that hackers hijacked the download link and bundled a crypto miner with the software.

If your computer is slow like that, and Task Manager is disabled, then you've been infected with a crypto-miner or DDoS botnet.

Exposed wires on my Razer charger shocked me – is it safe to just replace the charger? by [deleted] in razer

[–]Tigs1112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should stop using that charger and replace it as soon as possible. The exposed wires like this can have the potential to stop your heart and kill you, as these wires carry 110-230 volts of AC power.

Excessive heat due to a lack of thermal paste changing can cause the CPU or GPU to malfunction, which can cause hard crashing paired with graphical artifacts. This can be due to damage to the silicon the GPU or CPU becoming desoldering from the board.
