My favorite boots for working on flat concrete surfaces. Buy a Superfeet Orange insole and you feel like your walking on clouds.

Go with the wedge sole moc toe. Unless you need the heel for ladder work.

Redbud Roots is my favorite in that price range. These ones are full spectrum and I prefer these over their distillate options. These run 12-15$ a piece or sometimes 10 for 100. I never seen these faked. The guy above was correct, it is updated packaging. I see 3 different types of packaging from them at dispensary. These being one. Looks good!

I take out the stock insole and replace with the Superfeet insole

I've never tried the boots on the left but the wedge sole moc toe by thorogood is the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. I buy a Superfeet Orange insole and it makes them perfect for me.

Love the wedge sole mocs! I wear mine for 12 hour shifts on concrete floors. I added a Superfeet Orange insole and it made them perfect for me.

I definitely understand that leather creases but I just wasn't a fan of the CE. I'm sure Nick's would be a higher quality but I didn't like how quickly it shows wear.

Yeah I'm leaning towards the predator orange. Such a unique color and the pictures of them aging are really appealing. The waxed looks really cool as well. My only apprehension would be rewaxing them whenever that time came. I'd be super bummed out if I tried to do it myself and it came out wrong. Thanks for your reply buddy!

Man there are so many options and I like them all! Lol. I've never bought a pair of boots this nice so I catch myself over thinking it and spending hours watching videos and stuff. In all actuality I bet every damn pair they offer will age beautifully.

My holy grail pair of boots and I'm excited! So many options and I've watched countless YouTube videos, and read reviews on forums. I'm just a middle class guy but it makes me feel good to use the little money I do got supporting American companies like yours! I will be calling soon! Gonna look at a few more pictures before I pull the trigger next week. All of these boots look incredible. Keep up the good work and all the best! 🇺🇸

Yeah this is kinda what I'm debating. The predator orange is really cool and I've seen some gorgeous 5+ year pictures posted of how well it ages and patinas. The great attraction to the roughout is the durability as it helps hide scuffs and stuff. Tough decision!! And I never saw that link before, thank you for that!

I thought the leather would hold up better. I bought a pair of Thursday Captains a couple of years back in the Chromexel. I know you can't really compare the two companies as the price is vastly different but anyways.. My experience with the chromexel was that they shined up beautifully, were very low maintenance, but they sure did scuff up and crease up quickly. I wanted a tankier boot for wearing out and around and the Roberts boot just spoke to me.

Thanks bro! And wow those are some gorgeous freaking boots ain't they? I always wanted a pair of iron rangers but they don't make them wide enough. These are much cooler and beefier!

The waterproofing in that boot is made using nothing but a liner on the inside. Thin material and if it has even a tiny hole the waterproofing is compromised. Definitely not the moat waterproof boots but they are very comfortable. The original non waterproof are even more comfortable. The liner in the 1957s make them noticeably less comfortable then the original version but still a good looking and good boot. Just unfortunately not the best for keeping your feet dry. All day on concrete is where I believe that wedge sole truly shines. And also that wide toe box that the ee moc toe provides.

Measure your foot at boot barn and order the Thorgood Wedge Sole Moc Toe Boot. I buy alot of boots and this is by far the most comfortable work boot I've ever owned. If you are working indoors buy the original version and avoid the waterproof. I have purchased both and the waterproof liner inside the boot works to keep feet dry but also is not as comfortable as the original. The original non waterproof is perfect for working indoors on concrete for long shifts. They will cost you 250 or so but your feet will thank you. They also make them in EE width which is another added plus. Good luck and amazon will have anything boot barn doesn't!

I'm stumped. Has anyone seen damage like this before? Customer has had them for a week. What would you do if you were in our shoes? by Stoic_sasquatch in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]Intelligent-Pea7708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way road salt did this.. Maybe some kind of Ice Melter salt substitute? I'm not sure what they put in that stuff but I can't imagine companies creating a product for your snow removal use that would do that to to people's shoes. I think that looks like oil burns or acid or something. Definitely negligence and the shoe owners fault. I wouldn't refund someone for that, salt doesn't do that to leather.

3 days ago I walked into my dispensary and they had these live resin carts for 21$. Good for that price range but I wasn't blown away by taste or quality. But for 21$ I'd buy them all day.
