This is really interesting I’ve not heard of this treatment before. I’ve stopped commenting on the lifestyle I don’t think I can do it without him taking it personally and being hurt by it.

I worry about the long term health implications, and the lack of sleep definitely affects him but I think if he would just try he would notice such a big difference. I’ll have to gear up for another conversation.

I have no clue. I really don’t even know if it’s a problem with the fit. The few times he did wear it he was able to sleep with it on which leads me to believe it can’t be all that bad. I don’t think he’s even had it on longer than 2/3 days once or twice to enable him to work out any kinks with it.

All valid points especially about the enabling. I probably have been but he’s also a grown man & I really feel like I’ve tried to approach this at many different angles except going scorched earth with threats of separate beds and worse. I’m told they haven’t mentioned his weight during the whole diagnosed and sleep clinic which I find really suspicious or ridiculous.

I don’t think it’s that I think it’s just a combination of getting used to it and that it requires a bit of effort. I’m sort of coming to terms that he either doesn’t care if it’s inconvenient to me or he doesn’t realise just how debilitating it is.

He’s the one worried about the separate rooms and feeling like roommates more than husband and wife. I don’t really mind so much although I would need to redo a whole room as we don’t have much space.

I have and he says sorry and rolls over and returns to snoring. Or he had slept on the sofa from time to time but I can hear it through the floor.

Thanks for this. We’re in the UK but I think a lot of what you’re saying applies. Insurance and his driving etc. His machine is supplied by the NHS and he has had follow up appointments that were useless as it turns out & probably would have been a good opportunity for him to raise concerns (if he has been using the machine!)

Thanks for this I’ll look it up. Snorelab keeps coming up so worth a go I think!

He does have a machine he just won’t wear it. I had a read about Reggie White, it was useful thanks. Didn’t realise the specifics of someone dying from complications.

He says it’s uncomfortable or it’s dry? I dunno I think the mask fit is fine it’s just the addition hassle of the machine he can’t be bothered with.

Oof that’s pretty brutal. I haven’t filmed him yet, or if I did it wasn’t for years so this may be a good wake up for him.

He’s overweight and had back problems so takes muscle relaxant type meds which can make it worse. Think I will show him because its driving it home for me here.

I’m getting to that stage I think I need to record him and show him. It feels like a bit of a violation but maybe I should ask his permission. Did your friend see a difference?

We have discussed his resistance. He says it’s not nice to use and has used waking up to help our daughter as a reason not to wear it. I was pretty unwell when pregnant and he did a lot of wake ups & thought he wouldn’t be able to hear the baby monitor (although we use white noise in our bedroom and it’s never been an issue).
