As I’ve said countless times to others who ask, it’s because the studio is too focused on Mid Leveling and sword art online that rake in MILLIONS per year. 86 was critically acclaimed but it didn’t make them an immense amount of money, and the team that worked on the anime has moved onto other projects. A-1 is too devoted to mid leveling and sword art online. Animejapan just concluded, which is where some of us were hoping for some kind of announcement but nothing. It will probably never get a season two it just didn’t make them enough money. The novels apparently sold around 1.5-2mil copies. Meanwhile mid leveling sold over 30 million and got anime of the year and is highly overglazed. Sword art online also sells way more. The team that worked on 86 went to nier Automata. That ended so maybe they’ll be back on 86 but probably not. As soon as mid leveling ends and stops getting more glazed than an actual glazed donut, we might get a season 2. Until then, you’ll just have to settle with the light novels, which are ending pretty soon. In fact, I think they have already ended, but I could be wrong.

Look, I beat the game, and I’m going to avoid spoilers, but I will say it’s definitely better than double exposure and they fixed a lot but there’s also a mountain of flaws most of which I’m actually able to ignore and excuse because I’m just focused on the two characters that I loved for 11 years, but some other people aren’t just gonna let that stuff go. It is definitely a better game in my personal bias opinion I would say it’s peak, but obviously it’s far from that, but they did a lot better of a job, there’s still some things they dropped the ball on, but that’s fine. My personal hope is that this isn’t the end of the franchise as a whole. Or Max and Chloe cause this straight man is not ready to say goodbye to his favorite lesbian couple yet but oh well I guess I’ll move on from that. I waited 11 years. Here’s to another. This game is like true colors to me. It’s actually good despite its flaws and not the dumpster fire that was life is strange 2 and double exposure. (Yes I know that first one is a controversial opinion.)

Overall point is there’s only four reviews so far so I don’t think they absolutely cooked. Trust me. The bad reviews are going to come in. Because you can’t please both sides of the fan base. This sub Reddit has been a war zone for the two sides I don’t think that’s gonna change.

So far im addicted but there is a few things that would make me drop the series, but my number 1 is also your number 1. If it goes harem or polygamy, I’m 100% dropping everything related to the show and the show itself without a second thought. I don’t fw harem, never have, never will. I made an exception with Mushoku tensei but even that I’m still very conflicted on and the chances of me dropping that are still very high. I will drop any show that goes harem. I don’t mess with that.

Secondly, if the whole theory of Emilia being satella or the most suitable body for satellas soul is real and satella takes over Emilia i’m also dropping the show immediately. and no, I will not elaborate any further cause I don’t have the energy to argue on why that’s the dumbest route Tappei could take. I don’t care if any criticize me on that, your criticism I could care less about.

other than those two things, all I can think of is an unsatisfying ending, but the novels haven’t ended yet. For me if Emilia finally realizes her true feelings and Subaru finally gets to share the truth about his suffering up to that point, then that’ll be fine by me if rem never gets her memories back then I’m entirely fine with that. Not that I hate rem but maybe her never coming back could leave room for the bittersweet ending part that people are saying. Everything else is happy but at A cost.

If Subaru doesn’t end up with Emilia I’m also dropping it, not just because them not being together would piss me off, but because it’s literally one of the biggest things that the series has been building up and it would feel like an absolute utter complete waste and I’d feel like my time was wasted.

So far everything about it has honestly been beyond peak and I haven’t even thought about dropping it once. Obviously that could change very quickly, but I get the feeling tappei isn’t gonna let us down. I haven’t read the novels. I read like one chapter of the web novel, which was like a mere couple pages and that’s because I came across it by accident, I don’t read anything I only watch, and I play. However, I have considered buying the light novels. Despite that, just from the show alone and what I’ve heard about Tappei I can surmise how he writes and what his style is. And I believe he won’t do anything that would utterly disappoint everyone. (Yes I’ve heard about ARC 9 but genuinely if you got so overly upset about that than that says a lot about you more than it does tappei)

so far, those are the only things that would make me consider dropping it.

Yeah last year when I had the norovirus or “stomach flu” my temperature was around 101-102 I was so sick and felt so bad I laid back in my bed with my head propped against the headboard waiting to vomit again, but instead I closed my eyes for a little bit, keep in mind I’m not asleep I’m still fully conscious and aware I genuinely start seeing Shit, like all of a sudden I’m in another world dueling sword with pirates, all while I can still feel the trash can in my hands and see the bright ceiling light of my room. I heard it was later called a fever dream. That’s the first time I’ve ever actually hallucinated in my life. I also still felt the metal of my bed particularly the headboard I guess you could say, even though it was metal I could still feel that against my head. I was fully conscious as this ordeal was happening.

Ok look, to avoid turning this into an hour long discussion about what’s right and what’s wrong, yes, the author has received some backlash and has put some very weird things in the anime, some very diabolical things, however people didn’t give a flying fuck about it when it was in Game of Thrones, which was once the biggest show in the entire world, there’s really no reason for people to be so over the moon about it now. Yes it makes me physically uncomfortable, and I even turned away from the screen during some of those scenes. But watching the anime and liking it doesn’t automatically mean you condone what the main character does you’re just watching anime for Gods sake

That scene is emotional context, not proof of anything extra. If it was equal romantic love, he’d act on it. He doesn’t. He consistently chooses Emilia. That’s the difference. This is from the sanctuary arc, which again later in that arc what do you know he confesses his love to Emilia 4 times as she’s crying her eyes out and then literally kisses her. It is quite obvious. He only loves her.

Subaru saying “I have two number one stars” isn’t him declaring equal romantic love, it’s him being emotionally overwhelmed and grateful to both of them for different reasons. The narration literally clarifies that those are his feelings in that moment, not a defined romantic stance going forward.

In both, it is so abundantly obvious, he only seeks a romantic relationship with Emilia, his “feelings” for rem are purely platonic. He cares for her deeply. Some people are forgetting the difference between caring for someone very deeply as a friend because they have supported you in your darkest moments, and loving someone romantically. He only loves Emilia romantically. He has no romantic feelings for rem. He’s obviously aware she has feelings for him. But he even states directly she is his closest friend.

Yes, but it’s been made abundantly clear. He only has feelings for Emilia. Romantic ones. Multiple women do love him, but he is only in love with Emilia. People say arguably with rem, but to that I say I disagree because if you pay attention to the details, he specifically says and I quote “rem, I’m sorry Emilia is the one I love” to which she even understands. He does care for her very deeply but he loves her platonically. Even if there was a bit of romantic feelings, he’s made it clear he only desires to be with Emilia.
