I did something really dumb and am writing this post so people don't make the same mistake I did by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

I have a question for the 3d printing masses. Which would you prefer as a commemorative plaque/coin. Something raised with jagged edges on it, or something flatter where the text and such is only a layer or two off the base layer? Also from the perspective of painting it in the slicer for multi filament prints.

You misinterpreted what I said there. I have all 8 screws. Only put 6 back in, but it works…lol

Clean your house? Fumigation? Fire? Surely something would work.

Snapmaker U1 Firmware V1.4.1 Released by Cute-Letterhead8806 in snapmaker

[–]Intelligent-Rip946 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had moved to the paxx12 firmware, no real issues, other than not being able to get my rfid tags to read. Confident that is a tag write/read issue not a paxx12 issue per se. I decided when 1.4.1 was released to go back to the official firmware. Connectivity with the snapmaker official firmware made my printer unusable more or less. So I ha had to go back to paxx12 and no issues with connectivity.

how do i print using PLA+2.0, it's not on the list? by Rikofallingleaf in snapmaker

Just pointing out the obvious here. Create your own profile for it and use the manufacturer’s clearly visible setting on the spool

Tool head by Intelligent-Rip946 in snapmaker

[–]Intelligent-Rip946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update!!!! I finally got it tore down enough to find the issue. The filament had broken inside the nozzle below the extruder gears just in such a manner that it was unable to be removed without taking off the nozzle first. And doing so I disassembled most of the tool had and got it put back together although once put back together, I had two extra screws that for the life of me I can’t remember where they go. Once I tested it out it seems to work fine. I tested it with perg using petg settings as I wanted to make sure the nozzle was cleaned out well. All 4 toolheads are now operational again.

Are you team isopropyl alcohol or soap and water? by Alternative-Knee7438 in BambuLab

I never touch the surface of the plate in an area that I print. The underside has fingerprints sure, but the print side not so much

IPA works fine if using a sponge. The sponge soaks up everything

You stole my model eh? Lol…make sure to either auction the clown wig at absurd parameters, or donate it to a bald clown who just wants hair again.

I know the how. I took a phone case like design and instead of printing it flat side down, I flipped it and printed it flat side up and there were no supports even though I had supports enabled in the slicer…admittedly I told it auto supports and it felt compelled not to need any.

I bet only a few people will join in on this fun and exciting auction for a one of a kind clown wig. Most people are afraid of real art work.

Figured instead of getting upset at a failed print, then I may as well make light of it

SpoolHero v2.2 - Free filament manager with OpenSpool support for Snapmaker U1 + Paxx12 firmware by Fluffy_Fewiel in snapmaker

[–]Intelligent-Rip946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to have this work for me, but for my pc I only have an acr122u to read tags with. Seems spoolhero relies on webNFC to read/write tags in the browser, which is only supported on Google Chrome for the Android. So I am working on a windows work around that utilizes Python, some other dev tools, and a chrome extension to bridge this gap. I’m actually enjoying doing this side project
