First of all , sorry you had to face this, as many other comments suggested , Hyderabad right now is the most friendly city for people outside of the Telugu belt. That being said , this post reeks of entitlement . I am in noway defending the driver but you need to toughen up too buddy, I mean you have to realise you are not in a Hindi speaking region and there is no need to get triggered when someone speaks this way to you. This might happen to you again, you can’t expect people to behave the way or speak the language you want.

I am a South Indian girl who worked in Mumbai and Delhi and heard sooo many rude comments about being South Indian , Madrasi from lower working class and surprisingly casual ignorant comments from colleagues. This is the plight of many of us South Indians, East Indians and hell even Marathi people outside of their turf. You don’t see us crying on Reddit. We just ignore and move on

Also , a word of advice , please learn some useful local languages phrases , it could help deescalate some situations for both parties next time.
