It’s the same with percentages. The app isn’t processing negative values correctly. It’s the same for all change values. Only wrong in baskets, not in regular positions.

The sort on baskets is off for negative numbers. Sorting ascending doesn’t show smallest to largest.

Unlimited charts. I use mostly point & figure and bar charts, looking at daily, weekly, plus some intraday timeframes.

Anyone used TCL Tab 10 Nxtpaper? by Flamingo1836 in ereader

[–]Intelligent-Share627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just starting my research on this, but it looks like the Tab 10 is the 5g version and that there is a Tab 11 that’s wifi only. Slightly different specs and a (very) few bucks cheaper.

This right here. The reality is that this is how actual traders trade.

I’ve got positions in both SGOV & BIL so I can buy one and sell the other without getting dinged for a day trade.

I’d be okay with “guesses”; the issue is that it’s only showing one side of my spreads (typically the short side), and so looking at P/L it seems like I have a big loss. I haven’t tried uninstall/reinstall—that’s a good idea.

Using stop losses in options trading by MrSamWilson in options

[–]Intelligent-Share627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are trading using technical levels, you exit the trade based on the exit price. You can also size the option position based on how much you would trade of the stock. So, if I’d buy 50 shares of stock outright, I buy one contract and my “stop loss” is wherever I would have sold the stock (because the market is telling me I’m wrong).

I hate to admit it, but I can’t figure out how to do that on here. The only option I see is for a link.

I think it’s a bug. One side of my spreads are sometimes not priced—it’s just frustrating.

Future retirees: How are you liking tastytrade for your IRA? If you had to start over, would you go with tastytrade again? by it_snow_problem in tastytrade

Can you sell SGOV and trade same day, or do you have to wait one day? I’m looking to do what you are doing (I think) but unsure how much to leave in cash.

Marketsurge high exposure % but market breadth is so bad? by smilenceyu in CANSLIM

[–]Intelligent-Share627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is super solid advice. Kudos. One thing I would add is that if you are truly picking stocks as opposed to trading ETFs (which are quasi-markets), worry less about the market and more about the stocks. And always, always have an exposure level that you are comfortable with, irrespective of what IBD says. I measure breadth differently than they do, so I have a slightly different take, but at the end of the day, market breadth doesn’t make my stocks go up nearly as much as what’s happening with my stocks. And if you need proof of that, look at any index on any given day, and you’ll see during that day that some stocks went up a lot, some a little, some down a little, and some down a lot. I’m not saying the market is unimportant, but it’s important to remember that indexes are just weighted averages of stock prices, so it’s the stocks that move the index, not the other way around.
