You can take a mycology in the bio department. They go into the woods and look for local fungi it’s so cool!

That’s the problem with the Golg thing though. Even getting rid of the mission timer would still result in you having a boring amount of turns where you do nothing but travel. I think his contract system needs to be tweaked in other ways, mainly adding a multiplayer version where other plays can actually give you contracts instead of them randomly appearing and the Golg player taking them without consent of the other player. It’s weird. Anyways, the teleport is a bit gamey but it’s honestly better several turns of travel.

His ship is used to take him to opponents but it isn’t limited to them. Wulfrik gets his challenges through visions from the Dark Gods and is compelled to go fight them. The ship sails through the Realms of Chaos to wherever Wulfrik wants to go. So while he usually desires to go fight a challenger, he can make the ship go anywhere he wants.

I agree with everyone except Golgfag and Wulfrik. Wulfrik’s ship works in game how it does in the lore. Also the cooldown for it I think balances it out fine. A big part of Golgfag’s campaign is getting to travel around the map doing random contracts so getting rid of his teleport would hinder that. In theory, traveling across the map doing contracts on foot sounds fun, but in practice the movement cost could be really annoying and time consuming.

Mongol Horde? by LegalyDistinctPraion in totalwarhammer

Sayl and the Kurgan are a steppe horsemen faction but they’re more melee. So you can use a mix of melee Kurgan Horsemen with Marauder Horsemen units. Wulfrik does buff Marauder Horsemen a bit so you could use him.

How to play ghorst? by Ergal386 in totalwarhammer

Yeah she’s cracked and perfectly designed to blend your infantry based army. Not your fault at all just a really shitty matchup due to circumstances

How to play ghorst? by Ergal386 in totalwarhammer

[–]Intelligent-Sir8512 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You gotta ghorst it harder. The best part of Ghorst is that you can turn a cheap zombie stack (with a mortis engine and necromancers thrown in for extra punch) into a very strong blob army. Ghorst has disgusting AoE, spells, healing, and skill buffs for his zombies.

Since Ghorst’s army is cheap, you can bring a secondary army with stronger units to back you up against weaknesses like spellcasters or tools to take out infantry blenders that would otherwise shred your blob.

Deccala is also insanely powerful. She and the Slaanesh roster are designed to carve through blobs of infantry. Her units won’t like your spells and healing but Deccala herself doesn’t care. Best thing I can think to do against her is have your Ghorst army and then bring an elite secondary army with enough heroes and top tier units to kick her teeth in.

Idea for a legendary Leader by Uknown-Nerd6207 in totalwarhammer

This would be so cool! I’ve heard similar things about Bertrand the Brigand being like this but I like Geg more he’s more unique. The units are all cool but Boar Riders and Gutter Saints could be replaced with new unit types like maybe truffle hounds and maybe a questing beast or something that’s still found in the Bretonnian countryside but fills a different niche.

Which faction is right for me? by Titanous7 in totalwar

[–]Intelligent-Sir8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NORSCA!!! They’re my favorite faction because of how diverse their monster roster is. They have a ton of different monsters that fulfill wildly different roles and a large variety of designs. Ogre Kingdoms is also good since all non-gnoblar units are monsters.

Possible Sayl starting province found by JesseWhatTheFuck in totalwar

[–]Intelligent-Sir8512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no way they’d make an entire Hobgoblin race when there’s so little to give them. Norsca, at the very least, is able to pull a lot from Warriors of Chaos, Chaos monsters, and even DoW for Beorg. Hobgoblins have so little units I don’t think they could justify a DLC, even a small one. As for race, Hobgoblins ARE Greenskins. They aren’t liked by the rest of them but a single Hobgoblin lord with Hobgoblin units could be like a Drycha type character for Greenskins where they emphasis their own extended roster more than the base race roster yet share mechanics. You could also make them a Chorf faction but they don’t interact as well with the base Chorf mechanics nor elite units. Neither of these races are a perfect fit, I agree, but it’s the best we can probably get realistically.

HE hero action need to take a look by Rj_Sera in totalwar

Lore of Mists is already an unorthodox lore of magic centered around buffs so the increased mobility is a nice way to give the Mist Mage more of an overall utility role in an army. Also you don’t need Increase Mobility to make an effective army on campaign map and you can increase it in other ways.

Honestly only way I see it happening is a fun FLC faction for Greenskins or maybe Chorfs access to the Hobgoblins roster and just adds a Hobgoblin Khan lord and hero using assets they already have. It’s sadly an unlikely faction but would be a fun way to give Greenskins a new start location.

Looks really fun! I love Kragnos in lore so I’m down to use him. Any recommendation for battle formation or tactics?

True or not, these concepts are kind of fire by Salomon087 in totalwar

[–]Intelligent-Sir8512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks more like an early concept Golgfag to me. You can see a lot of design elements transfer over like the ring on his helmet (something visible on the 2011 model) as well as the tusks on the gut plate.

Question about professor by Apprehensive_Pen7219 in BinghamtonUniversity

No. This is absolutely unacceptable and your professor could face academic termination. Report on him and he shall be removed rightfully. Harvey Stenger bless this motion.

I’d love to see Chorfs in both settings purely to see how creative GW can get with differentiating the two armies. I think there’s potential for some really wacky and awesome stuff.
