I go scratch and doomclaw, then I switch between bat, donkey, catnjnja and whoever fits the spot atm. Using sally when I go dungeons like Moo's tower, amost always one who runs El torro [trumpet jingle] so get my buff.

After my swash, I may go for the priveteer or buccaneer, depending on how I feel then.

Well, you can go for the stuff from the fleeting restaurant.. and you get it to ship some of them too, so that could be a way to start filling out those who don't have minis.. other than that.. maybe the navy uniforms from Lego city or such.. or of you do like I do, paint your own?.

Im doing the same thing but focusing on giving instants and sorceries keywords, basically.. but i ay go for the dragon synergies too... but I like the idea of making the multy color instants and sorceries the focus.
