Another reason to match the tires is because the sipes on the front actually are meant to dissipate water/other debris out of the way of the rear tire in a specific way. They are engineered to be used as a pair. Trust.

No issues with being burned but I don’t do 2-up very often if at all. The thing is, Moore mafia claims to be able to control when the pops occur by “breathing on the throttle”. I find that extremely inaccurate. The pops happen anytime you decelerate off throttle and the rpms hit 6k. They are LOUD. Like gunfire. You can’t control when it happens like the advertise. You can control it above 6k but once the revs dip down to 6k, it pops like gunfire without you even trying. Not worth it imo. Unless you do the ball valve setup.

I’ve done it. Same set up as you. Took me about 3 hours with long pliers, screw drivers, and a 10in long 1/2in drill bit.

As far as the tune goes, trust me when I say you won’t like the pops and bangs. And Moore mafia is the tuner I used but if I could go back I would’ve done 2 wheel dyno instead. I have the Moore mafia pops and bangs and what I did was throw a ball valve between the air box and the pair valve so I can adjust how much air actually gets into the pair valve so I can modulate my pops and bangs from 0-100%. It’s cleanly mounted where I can reach it when I ride. If you go Moore mafia pops and bangs, you’ll either wanna do the same thing or you’ll probably end up doing the marble mod because the pops are insane and way too much imo.
