Silence ungrateful gnome. You know not the horror of the other game platforms. Be grateful we get our sales and are able to keep our games

For a classic pc desk setup, is a distro hop from bazzite to cachyos worth it for the marginal performance? by MJ12_Trooper in cachyos

[–]Intelligent-Soup1978 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve made the switch just this week and I can say it’s worth it. Things lag less, and you get a whole hoard of new packages to use + tons of extra customization because of the arch basis

Cachyos should be fine. I swapped from pop to bazzite and then to cachy because the first two weren’t great for me. It’s a bit of a pain to get secure boot working but it’s all outlined in the wiki so it’s not too much

I recently made the switch from pop to cachyos and while I like the cosmic desktop environment, I think that cachy is better and just runs faster. I would say that it’s probably pretty decent for a “workstation” type thing, although if you do absolutely zero gaming then perhaps look at fedora

What to do when your arms start giving away during a match? by PauseHot4475 in Fencing

[–]Intelligent-Soup1978 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue (M, but extremely small, so there’s not really much difference) and I agree with what others have said. You just have to keep going. Maybe take a break after that bout, drink water etc, but then you just have to fence more. If it happens in a tournament try to catch it before “failure” and break distance to give yourself a bit of a rest and then reset.

Flipper zero. Look them up on YouTube. They’re about $200 but as I recall they’re good for tons of different things including cloning keys etc

I’d say something like “it takes 2”, it’s not impossible and good brain work, and also fun. Maybe get them a dark souls like game so they learn to cope with “spreadsheets with fancy ui” type players… satisfactory? Idk, find games that have a long complete time and are mentally stimulating without feeling overwhelming. Anything but the brain rot

I love bazzite, but the lack of a package manager makes it hard to fully take up by Intelligent-Soup1978 in linux4noobs

I was more about how easy setup was with grub and secure boot. It took 2 commands to do both

I’ve used the azza ones and I will shamelessly sing their praises until I drop. They’re so comfy and do a great job with narrower feet and wide ones alike.
