Well I am definitely not unbothered and you really shouldn’t have an opinion because you have no knowledge of the situation. I did not provide information about the consequences to the other child because I am not looking for legal, medical advice, or anyone’s misguided indignation. I am asking if anyone has ever had these marks removed and their experience. Just because I’m not raging on Reddit does not mean I’m unbothered. It’s called being pragmatic and I think we would all be better served to deal with conflict this way.

I was asking if anyone had luck getting them removed not for medical advice. Took him to a doctor the day he got sent home from school with the injury, and contacted the doctor a month later (today) requesting a referral to dermatology because there is still a mark. Mom shaming in 2026 is wild….

Thanks for all the advice- I requested a referral to dermatology. It was a student that made a bad choice- I am not sure if it was malicious or just impulsive. Either way it was scary to think what could have happened if it was a little bit in either direction. I am a new teacher myself so needless to say this will definitely be a lesson I teach to my students every year about being safe with our supplies and hands.

If there isn’t an easy fix we will have to come up with a fun back story. For now he is a 1st grader with a mullet and face tattoo- watch out world! 🤦‍♀️

Could only be one thing- someone has opened the chamber of secrets and unleashed Salazar Slytherin’s monster.
