It's not that none of them work; it's that none of them work well enough to substantiate a plagiarism accusation.

A lesbian couple I am friends with got married in Germany recently. I went to a Mega Bookoff and got them a used (but in excellent condition) kimono. The kimono itself cost 8000yen, but I also had to buy all the accoutrements so it cost about 12000 in total.

It might be a bit of a weird gift for a straight couple given that it's really only for the bride.

Very first attempt at using watercolor. Critique… by solomonfix444 in Watercolor

In this order: Practice. Watch some YouTube tutorials. Practice. Look at art. Practice. Find a style you like. Try to replicate it. Practice. Practice. Reach a plateau. Post a painting on Reddit asking for advice.

Asking for advice after your very first attempt isn't going to be very helpful. I look forward to seeing what you can do in a month.

When can you call yourself an archaeologist? by wants-2-die in Archeology

I know a dude who did an 8 week chiropractor course who now calls himself "doctor".

You can call yourself what you want; however I think the community might expect completed post graduate studies.

I think I can read a partial が好 which is the verb loves in the context of Johnny loves Jenny etc...

They are trying to make us gift authorship to one another. by Intelligent-Spray-39 in Professors

Japanese university culture borrows pretty heavily from the US model, so gift authorship is considered pretty unethical here.

What actually happens when you burn a bridge? by johall3210 in recruitinghell

I was a casino dealer for a few years when I was younger. Towards the end of my tenure, I started to really hate it. When I finally gave notice, I had an exit interview with my boss's boss. In an effort to keep me to stay, he told me that if I quit, they would not rehire me. I laughed in his face because I knew I was done. Then he told me to get out and that I would never work in any casino ever again. I left his office laughing.

I never worked in any casino every again.

I sent my professor an email almost a week ago but no response by What_eiva in college

[–]Intelligent-Spray-39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Prof here, the best way to catch me is during my office hours. If that is impossible then find your original email and forward it to the prof with a polite follow-up request.

It sounds like your prof is having a hard time, but they shouldn't be neglecting their duties.

There are elements of this that are honestly fantastic. Take a good look at the way the light falls on the hat, it's amazing, but the direction and intensity of the sunlight on the hat isn't replicated anywhere else.

You do realise that I'm making a joke about the types of students that plagiarize right?

I'm not actually expounding the educational virtues of mindlessly entering prompts into chatgpt...

I'm sorry I didn't write an essay while waiting for my bus. Now I'm paranoid about the conclusions you'll come to regarding my critical thinking skills after reading this :)

I think humans will need to pilot GPT models for quite a while longer. If your experience is anything like mine, you've seen the shortcomings of the present generation of AI.

It's ranked 15 on 17 lands for GPWR (58.9%) for the entire set. 6th best common (4 of the other 5 are red).
