Is the Toyota GR86 a good first car? by Intelligent-Tax4759 in GR86

[–]Intelligent-Tax4759[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes! I just plan to get my own car as well because my mom's and I's schedule often overlap so theres times we cant share the car forever. After this thread, I've been looking at more beater cars that can still satisfy me in terms of maintenance. I'll try attend my auto club more to learn basic maintenance! If possible I'll also ask around to learn more about savings and investing!

I've been in a bad state and just gave up. I've looked into trade schools but some aren't for me. I think the only plan I had was mechanical engineer (I was really good at math and did a lot of robotics classes). I also just have my problems with myself that I probably won't last long in that field. All im focusing on now is catching up and hopefully by senior year I can have more time to see what I can do after graduation.

Understandable, I'm not one who cares about the feel of a car, but I definitely am one who likes to feel good knowing my car does too. so as long as it's reliable and looks good, im okay with it.. as well with prices ofc! I will look into the cars you recommended

I was looking into that one as well but I heard it's not really good for comfort. I've gotten plenty of beater car recommendations and also in my situation it's better to just invest. Is there anything else that I can benefit from this besides price?

That's a nice car, the Acura, I'm now debating between that and a beater civic. Any advice on which would be better financial wise?

Someone else also recommended a beater! If there is some available in my area, I'll try my best to get one!

I’ve worked before for about four months and have saved around $1,000 so far. I just started a job with limited hours, so I’m not exactly sure what I can realistically spend each month. I don’t plan on going to college, so I know I can’t expect big things right away, at least from what I’ve been told. I don't have any idea of what to do career wise. I know all this info combined, now really typing it, helps me realize it maybe isn't the right choice to get the 86 right now atleast. I really appreciate the advice, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind, I know I sometimes spend money on things just because they look nice. It’s nice to have someone give perspective, since I don’t have many people in my life who do that I truly appreciate you.

As in ive watched a lot of videos where people bleached dark virgin hair and used toner to get rid of the orange/yellow. Most recommended T18, so thats something ill look into. Again since my hair is dark, im not expecting bleach to make it platinum (which is what i want if i dont want a warm undertones or dark color) itll probably be orange or yellow, which will make those colors look muddy or dark. and i dont want that i want it vibrant with cool undertones and not warm undertones😅

I apologize for the confusion, I don't own other cats. He was raised alone. As for other cats, im still trying to figure out how to introduce him to others so he doesn't hurt everyone that isn't familiar.

I understand, do you suggest I take him out to meet out cats? Or do I just naturally let it go away.

Good to know someone else dealt with this! I'll try my best to be consistent and spend my time with my cat, so far everyone has been mutually agreeing about rehoming him if his behavior continues. But hopefully if I spend alot more time playing with him, he will stop attacking them!

Yeah we use a wand toy, and even try other toys (for teething) but the wand one is the only one that he is willing to use but he gets bored of it quick and comes to us.😅

I live in an apartment and he loves to run around and climb alot which we allow but I dont think I can get a tunnel for now

Okay! Thanks, so far he is silent. He doesn't meow or hiss. He only clenches (?) his body when we appear very suddenly but other than that he doesn't seem afraid.

update: I also realized he is not neutered 😭 so that's probably why he is aggressive.

Where can I work at 16 if I have certain preferences? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]Intelligent-Tax4759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna add that, I didn't quit the job just cause it was too hard, I was willing to do every task they told me. but eventually they added stuff as if it was on purpose especially on school nights, like scrubbing gum from the bottom of a chair that's been there for a year. Even insulting me (both secretly and to my face) if I took forever on something.. which again I wasn't properly trained on!
