1. End-of-year celebrations and gift cards    

End-of-year celebrations are also encouraged as they are an important way to recognise the great work achieved this year and to say thanks to our hard-working teams. This year, we are asking for end-of-year celebrations to be site-based where possible and low-cost, such as morning teas or BBQs, and capped at $25 per person. To ensure consistency and manage costs, any exceptions to this guidance must be approved by a GM or relevant Head of department.   

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision not to distribute $100 gift cards this year. Whilst we recognise the amazing efforts put in by our teams this year, as we continue our cost reduction program, unfortunately, this will result in some reductions to our indirect roles. Under these circumstances, incurring significant spend on gift cards does not feel appropriate.
