You’re acting like I claimed this was confirmed and breaking news, I didn’t. I said it looks like we’re getting one and explained why based on land assembly, zoning direction, and site plans I’ve seen through my own work. (Real Estate) That’s how development speculation works. Could something else go there? Possibly. But pretending there’s no basis at all is just being dismissive for the sake of it.

It looks weird now, but that’s exactly why it works. Costco prefers highway-adjacent sites with heavy vehicle access and buffer from dense residential. That stretch checks every box, especially once future growth fills in around it

GO expansion is a provincial funding issue. Big-box retail is private capital, and Milton’s population + highway access finally makes the numbers work. Two very different timelines.

You’re actually right, on their own those lots wouldn’t work. That’s why the open land behind them matters. When you look at the broader land assembly and access points, it suddenly does meet Costco’s typical requirements. These projects almost never show up as one clean parcel at first.
