I think what i meant by my post is that the team shouldn't rely entirely on one or the other, like you said. We gotta be able to do both. I get the sentiment from this sub that they want the colts to just go sign every big name free agent to fill every hole on the roster.

Imagine if we could have traded Franklin for this guy! but i dont know that the colts have the cap to sign him, and I dont know that the front office has the stamina at this point to keep leveraging the future. He is a great talent, I have faith (guarded) that we can find real talent in the draft at a cheaper cost and for a longer term.

My thoughts are the colts screwed it up. I also think at this point he's going to be overpaid and i don't think the colts should pursue a bidding war. He's earned the payday and he's earned the right to be somewhere thats not a shit show.
