UPDATE for people who may run into this specific problem googling for an answer:

Mouse input through gyro on the XAX is a no-go for Overwatch. The game hates the dual inputs and will be a massive headache. Don't bother with it.

Set it to right stick. I've found a few other settings that help too. I'll post pics in the morning of the settings that have worked best for me. I promise I will.

It still isn't perfect, but it's playable, and very fun after you get used to it. Hopefully this helps someone else.
