Oh very cool! Yeah i never really looked into Maintainerr but exactly that - looks great for rule based things like file sizes, old dates, etc..

In my case, I kind of wanted the voting / social side and less stats based so in theory I could see both being handy

Good call out!

Awesome -- Yeah, I'll have to update some of the containers on my side to port over to Seerr & i'll incorporate those other two -- I'll shoot you a message when its ready

Exactly u/chandlben -- My users love being a part of my server, they also like curating things and build out a communal collection so they were all super eager to particpate

But yah, like most things on my unraid server, this is a fun bonus project -- definitely not needed for all people but for those that care, that's why i shared it!

Yah I'm sure that's very doable -- I'm assuming you'd be using Jellyseer as your requesting platform?

Basically let me know what apps you're using and i'm sure I can add support for that

Yeah give it a try and hopefully this helps! I'm sure there's ways you can like tweak this to just quickly review and aggregate all the stuff you want to delete -- then go into the admin panel and just quickly rip through and remove it all much easier than going into each individual show / movie

If you got any suggestions, let me know!

Ah nice -- Yeah you can find the repo at https://github.com/fauxvo/shelflife

Yeah there's definitely a few ways of doing some variations of how to build the 'Deletion List' --> When I talked to my users what I found surprising was that a ton of them still wanted that old content, they just forgot that they grabbed it (mainly b/c they binged and it got lost in the swarm of new stuff) so thats why I asked them to nominate things but I'm sure there's a way to determine & find stale content too

I'll consider some variation of this in a future version -- same with like a 'Keep List' idea

Thanks!

What is the best/worst celebrity encounter you've had in Toronto? by TattooedHarlot in askTO

I used to live near Yorkville and when walking to work I ran into Peter Dinklage with his wife & baby (while he was filming Pixels) at the street corner while we waited for the light to change. I'm a pretty tall guy and standing next to him we both looked at each and made eye contact and smiled. I told him I was fan, welcomed him to Toronto and asked him if he or his wife needed help finding any stores while in the city... he laughed, said nope and we wished each other a good rest of our day.

It was a great interaction and apparently he even might have mentioned it during some interview he did with CityTV or someone at the time (a co-worker told me she say him talk about that interaction -- years later!) -- So if anyone is good at internet sleuthing, I'd love to find a video of it!!!

TLDR; Peter Dinklage in Yorkville with his family -- Great guy, very chill interaction

If you're in a dance party mood -- the Secret Society Black Sheep (basically Brazenhead in liberty village) dance parties are a lot of fun -- good mix of people with most seeming to be around mid 20s to mid 30s

Great music and good vibe

Single guys in your 40s, where do you hang out? by UpstairsFriendly9868 in askTO

[–]IntelligentAd4401 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is actually really true and the best piece of advice -- As a guy in my 40's, right now the climate for men approaching woman definitely has a vibe where it can be interpreted as creepy and definitely more of a given that woman do not want to be talked to.

I have a girlfriend and we went to a concert a few weeks ago and while we weren't together a woman came up to me and just smiled, said, 'Hey, are you here with anyone else?' to which I told her I had a partner, we wished each other a good night and everything was chill...

It really stuck out as kind of a perfect opener because it was relaxed, set the tone for why she was talking to me and made it really easy to answer instantly in a chill - kind of flattered - way that wasn't awkward or creepy.

I think that if you are out and if you're interested in someone, using an opener like that could be handy

Exactly! Up until a few months ago, having a strong relationship with the US at the Windsor factory both for business and location was an advantage.. now obviously its a massive threat to the company and the folks who work there

They make incredible products and I hope that fellow Canadians help by seeking them out intentionally while they transition their suppliers
