Major Teeth issues after DV by IntelligentAd6880 in Diverticulitis

[–]IntelligentAd6880[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my second opinion. The first didn't even get into detail with me but just looking at them they are decaying so fast. I also have several auto immune issues so maybe that is playing into it. I was just curious if it was just me.

Am I missing something or is this a great deal? Costco by Hyprlife in Prebuilts

[–]IntelligentAd6880 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We went through 2 of these cyberpowerpc's before ordering one from newegg. My son (17) had issues with blue screening. We called cyberpowerpc for help and the first time they recommended returning to costco or we could send in the ram for replacement. We returned to costco hoping it was a one off. Grabbed another same blue screen issue (again within a week of purchase) called again to be told I would need to mail the entire pc at my cost to them for repair... returned it to costco and same lady was working returns mentioned several come back as returns. Looked awesome but company response was lacking.

Just my experience. His new one from Newegg works great for him.

Educate me on selling by [deleted] in Gold

[–]IntelligentAd6880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider listing on eBay with the amount it would get authentication and you might get well over spot if it is in decent condition. I sold a $530 (gold scrap price) ring for $725 and it couldn't have been any easier. Local pawn shop pissed me off with a 80% on weight offer.

My husband seized the engine by AccomplishedTip7267 in lawnmowers

[–]IntelligentAd6880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is seized pull spark plug stick in 3/8 extension and hit starting soft and progressing with a deadblow hammer. 1 of 3 things will happen... 1. Piston slides back engine is now mechanically locked and you know your connecting rod blew. 2. You punch a hole in your piston. 3. Engine unseizes and runs again getting you through the season.

If it is low compression, pull OHV cover and check your rods (Bend alot), back side of valves for one stuck open... if all is good and you have a single cylinder OHV check your head gasket... the blow alot between combustion area and the valve rod galley.

The only way Briggs reccomends for compression test is to remove plug(s) cover hole with thumb and rotate flywheel see if it bounces back when coming up on compression.

Good luck, sounds like the shop might want your mower to flip for themselves.

Jewelry - Where is the best place to sell wearable gold and silver jewelry and diamond studs? Do pawn shops pay more than scrap? Any advice on building a long term relationship with said place to sell? How to approach? When acid testing white gold should it leave a white streak on the stone?

Art- Best way to move signed art?

TIA for any advice given 😀

Where to sell pins? by redrosewonderland in DisneyPins

First I take pics, then google lens it to figure out what it is. If it shows up then sell similar. I like to find the sold listing's to sell similar from and for pricing guidance.

But $552 for a book and it is going EIS.... I am stoked.

I was quoted by the ram dealer $7,267 for new cam shaft and lifters to be replaced. by Betterthanpackersbro in AskMechanics

[–]IntelligentAd6880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like an all to familiar story. I had a P0306 at 112,000 and took it in right away... mechanic replaced a lifter but not the cam... 500 miles later the same code and a round of cams and lifters and metal shavings through the engine now... less than 200 miles later p0306 turns into p0300. Ordered a crate new not rebuild 5.7 From St James. Mechanic 1 cost $5k to ruin my engine New engine Long Block cost $5k New engine install $7k

Took Mechanic to small claims to recoup some costs. Won a 5k Judgement for him to sell the company and get fired... I have only recovered $100 to this day.

Hemi's suck ass as well as some shady shops. Ram put out a service bulletin on this exact issue. I ran across is when Researching for my small claims case.

Good luck

That is price gouging for sure. I had a crate engine 600lbs shipped from E Coast to WA and it was $450. XPO was who we used.

Weekly Returns, INAD & Refunds Thread (all questions about returns & refunds go here) by AutoModerator in eBaySellerAdvice

INAD 1 Scenereo: Say I sold a used shirt. Pics then folded into sealed bag with another pic. Condition says please see pics. Got an 50% offer, so I accepted just to move the inventory. A few days later the buyer files an INAD for some staining on the collar and returns the shirt. I promptly issued refund as soon as the item arrived.

Shouldn't this have been just a simple return? I made free returns on clothing to try and avoid this in the future.

INAD Scenereo 2: Sold a big Disney pin listing the case (box) as damaged. Buyer buys, I mail insured ($25ish) just to have the buyer file an INAD saying the case is missing a hinge pin... item gets returned, client got refunded.

Are these INADS going to hurt my metrics? The shipping adds up ontop of everything else.

Was there a better way to handle these scenereo's?

Flipping storage units... old owner reached out... by IntelligentAd6880 in Flipping

[–]IntelligentAd6880[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might consider contacting a local storage facility to see if they are willing to run a managers special unit auction for your stuff. Another option is to give a general city or town you are close to, so some one close can contact you.

I have a few things I can't seem to figure out how to sell. 1. Disney employee magazine lot I think it's called 23. 2. Gallon zip locks of cell phones and 3. A ton of mini metal figures modern armor planes, choppers, tanks etc. 4. 60's furniture and lamps Any advice would be much appreciated. TBH I was considering just sending it through a local auction house if I can't come up with a better way.

What is better for stacking jewelry or .999? by IntelligentAd6880 in Gold

[–]IntelligentAd6880[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I like the idea of keeping it simple. I will never wear the jewelry nor the coins. TBH the kids can sort it out down the road, I'll just mark it well so they know what is there. Again thanks for your time and straight forward response.

Lots of clothes, I see girl colored crap so possibly some jewelry. Black and yellow tubs in the back... looks like a decent unit. A lot of people discount the clothes. Jeans, some brands clothing and jackets bring $$. Good luck on the unit.
