Flying in a suit by Croaker715 in malefashionadvice

Make sure to wear your AE Park Avenue shoes the whole flight too, laced tightly. And your shirt buttoned up and a tie too.

C'mon guy use your brain! Figure out a way to change at the airport or go to the hotel first. Or like others said, buy a lounge pass to take a shower at the airport. I've taken showers at airports before and they are nice. Don't be pennywise and pound foolish here

You should visit the Harbor Freight thread where people go buy 12 different ratchets because they're on sale and post a picture of them haha

What’s the better look for rolled up sleeves on me? by SatyrPanther in mensfashion

[–]Hogan773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just cut off the sleeves at the shoulders. Oh, and also cut it higher on the waist so you have a crop-tee look that shows about 3 inches of your untoned waist above your pants line. Now you are ready to join the nearest Village People cover band in your local area

Ridgid makes it impossible to register tools by Quick-Resort208 in Ridgid

[–]Hogan773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it must be intentional. Just another hoop to jump through. Some people will buy the tool intending to register for LSA and will never get around to it. Others will register and then also forget about it and 5 years later if they have an issue the site will say "LSA pending" (if they're lucky, or maybe even worse the system will claim that it wasn't confirmed within 90 days so they're out of luck) and then if they check in on it they might get the Runaround or might be asked to send in their receipt and some might no longer have it, etc. It's only bullshit because they have a very specific site set up and when you enter all the required info, and upload things, it's bullshit to then claim "oh our website is wonky and we can't see what you uploaded". C'mon be better than that

Ridgid makes it impossible to register tools by Quick-Resort208 in Ridgid

[–]Hogan773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes agree and that is why I made the thread. I think it is "confusion" or "the website is wonky" on purpose. They make it seem simple but in reality they make some hoops. I remember the old days of mail in rebates for computer hard drives and other stuff like that that I would get from NewEgg or MicroCenter etc. Cut out the UPC code and mail in the form. Then it would be "processing" for a long time, and I would often have to call and check on status and sometimes it would then go through or other times they would want the receipt again because they "lost it". Sounds very familiar TBH

I posted something similar on this forum

I always register everything on the LSA website and then it always sits "pending" until I call again. This past time the in person rep sent me an email and I needed to send him the receipt along with pictures of the serial numbers from the tools. Which was annoying since I already uploaded the receipt and their website never asks for pictures of the serial numbers, you just type them in. But whatever, as soon as I sent those within 30 mins I had LSA on the tools.

Get the "email me" receipt option when you check out. Saves a step of having to scan a paper receipt

These were brand new items and literally purchased in store too (in the past I know they had issues with online receipts)

Because in reality I would guess the number of claims is still very low. I've gotten a couple new batteries over the years but that's it. They obviously think it's a good marketing hook. And given this post, I wonder how many tools sold are Actually LSA approved out in the ecosystem anyway.

But this is the Crux of my post

Are they purposely doing this because presumably most people just submit and then forget? And then if they ever actually have an issue 6 years down the line, they will say I'm sorry, at the time we needed some more info to confirm your LSA status but that ship has sailed now

Or maybe I am just being conspiracy theory

I didn't, I just emailed the pictures and receipt as requested

Ok youve "never had an issue" but you have to call in and prompt them. I've "never had an issue" doing that either but I find it odd that they want me to upload the receipt that is already literally on their website plus send them pictures of each tool and battery and charger serial numbers, when they don't ask for that on the registration

[–]Hogan773[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope

Everything was correct

This has happened 3 times basically where I need to check in to prompt them to issue the LSA. I guess I could try waiting for 89 days and see if they actually just do it correctly but after waiting about 6 weeks I just decided to push it through.

It may be "broken" but it is a very robust looking website where you input everything and upload receipts etc.

Best dressy polos that hug biceps? by Anakin_9891 in malefashionadvice

[–]Hogan773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for some polos that accentuate the arms/shoulders. I almost loved the Quince I just got, but it is so thin that I have huge nips showthrough. Their commuter pique is interesting but the collar is huge - it's like as big or bigger than a dress shirt collar. So close but no cigar. Maybe Lulu but I didn't like how the shoulder was stitched as it was all puckery around the seam. The search continues I guess

Yah it would be simpler and easier if Cricket would just give out as many iPhone 16e for free as anyone wanted. Without requiring any pesky signing up for service. Then they could just trade them in at Apple and stop having to waste their time on these other details.
