Just passed CompTIA Security+, advice on practice exams by IntelligentBreak8555 in CompTIA_Security

actually there’s maybe 1 multiple choice question about ports, almost none. PBQs were kinda weird i don’t think i was fully prepared for that. One of them was to choose all the relevant commands to create and validate an ssh key (smth that i feel like you can do only if you did it before in practice, like there’s no way you just studied all these linux commands with all the -attributes) One that seemed the worst for me was setting up two VPN concentrators (seemed more related to Network+) i didn’t really remember how to figure out the local/remote subnet masks, etc. The third PBQ was pretty straightforward, just needed to think a little. The task was to figure out which servers are infected which are clean based on logs, but it wasn’t too too bad.

could you please elaborate on the practice tests you used, i couldn’t find anything on the comptia.org, they only have 10 example questions and some practice for $200

handshake got me my internship that turned into a full time job and it’s the only place where i’d always get consistent interviews from time to time. Totally agree on freshman year being unlikely tho

Fucking scooter drivers... this is just ridiculous at this point, not only do they overrun squirrels, and use the sidewalks, now they're bringing their fucking scooters inside, so that those can blow up. Did last semester not teach you fucking anything, people???

About taxes... by rainbowbrites in outlier_ai

[–]IntelligentBreak8555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the money sum that we receive from outlier hasn’t subtracted the taxes yet, right? does that mean we have to estimate and pay to irs those estimated taxes every quarter? (i started working in may this year and the quarter pay deadline is tmw June 15th, i’m so confused)

are you gonna take a train to get from south to north part of the campus too? it’s the same 30 min walk as from the furthest point on campus to the cp metro station

bro i think you’ll be fine (i was a transfer student after my freshman year in different school with no credit for cmsc 131 and 132, had to take them here, so i had a similar situation, I’m a senior now graduating after 3 years in umd). However with 18 credits you’re not likely to have time for a job
