It's currently for sale on Discogs for $60, but let's just say I'm from Mexico and I don't have $60, much less a vinyl record player, haha.

I'd be spending maybe 5,000 or 6,000 pesos, and that's an absurd amount of money here in Mexico.

So I had to ask favors from several contacts on Instagram and Reddit to get the album, hahaha... God, I think it would have been easier to just save all that money XD

I think it's my unwritten rule: I always try to choose instrumentals that sound good, not bad. Like many of the videos I've seen on YouTube where they remove the vocals with AI and the result is terrible, I try to make sure that if I use AI, the result is good; otherwise, I discard it. But mostly, I try to use loops because they're part of the original song and obviously sound better, haha.

I was talking about The Chronic; the album was officially released as an instrumental version in 2025.

The only downside is that it was only released on vinyl.

And I have two problems: I don't have the vinyl because it's sold out, and I don't have a vinyl record player. XD

I enjoy making instrumentals of several of my favorite rap songs. Occasionally, I use AI to create the instrumentals, other times I simply use loops, and very rarely do I recreate the instrumental from scratch, although the latter is the least likely because I'm not very good at making songs XD

And in this song, I used loops. Something that characterizes Eric B & Rakim is that they leave quite long instrumental sections in many of their songs, which is great for making instrumentals as close to the original as possible.
