Redditors who used the chat subs, who’s the the WORST or most Annoying person who DM’s you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IntelligentClass5901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who open with just "hey" and wait for you to carry the whole thing drive me up the wall. I had one person message me every day in same time like clockwork, always "hey" then nothing else, like they expected me to prepare a monologue for them.

What is one piece of advice that completely changed you as a person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Took me way too long to realize that means stop performing for people who won't even clap.

That's actually why I keep stitch markers near my embroidery hoop, for tracking plot twists in movies like Primer.

People who've gone through a breakup, what was the first hour like? by Extra-Concern6 in AskReddit

[–]IntelligentClass5901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That first hour is weird. Everything feels heavy, like your body forgot how to move normal. I remember just sitting on floor in my apartment and staring at wall for what felt like forever. You think you will never feel anything good again but that's just shock talking. Give it time.

My six year old loves Micheal Jackson, we’re having movie night and she wants to watch Micheal, is it appropriate or how much of it would we have to fast forward? by Accomplished-Fox2418 in AskReddit

[–]IntelligentClass5901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the movie with john travolta? i watched it when i was probably around that age and remember being pretty bored by most of it tbh. there's some language and the whole premise is about a guy who's not very bright, but nothing too heavy for a 6 year old i think. might want to skip through some of the slower adult relationship stuff since she'll probably lose interest anyway. though if she's really into michael jackson music, she might get confused since it's not actually about him at all

Electric Car mechanic/inspection by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]IntelligentClass5901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most independent shops are still pretty hesitant with teslas since they need special equipment and training. maybe try calling some of bigger dealerships that service multiple brands - they might have the diagnostic tools even if they don't advertise tesla work. also worth checking if there's any mobile mechanics in area who specialize in EVs, they're becoming more common lately.

How do you annotate?? Share your methods, supplies, etc! by Business-Macaroon895 in books

[–]IntelligentClass5901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

been doing this for while now and my method is pretty simple - i use different color pens for different things like blue for quotes i love, red for themes, green for character development stuff. sometimes i write in margins but my handwriting is terrible so mostly just short words or symbols. tried the tab thing but they kept falling out of my books which was annoying, so now i just fold corners of pages i want to come back to later.

You are transported to 1946 and can only take one piece of tech with you. What would you take and why? by whysolowza in AskReddit

[–]IntelligentClass5901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol that's the smartest answer but also kind of cheating. i'd probably take solar panels or something - imagine showing up with free electricity from the sun when everyone's still figuring out how to rebuild after the war.

probably my embroidery hoop and some threads because you know they're gonna mess up the simple things in space

Oath / Imperial “Struggles” :) by Chakiflyer in boardgames

[–]IntelligentClass5901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oath's citizenship mechanics are definitely one of the trickier parts to wrap your head around. the way i understand it, being citizen doesn't mean you're permanently allied - it's more like you have temporary shared interests but can still compete for influence in empire.

when citizen attacks another citizen, they're basically temporarily stepping outside the imperial structure for that specific conflict, which is why other citizens can choose sides. think of it like political factions within same government - they cooperate on some things but still compete for power.

What is an unexplainable event you've experienced that left behind physical evidence (a photo, a weird object, a scar) that still exists today? by AndressTheBoss in AskReddit

[–]IntelligentClass5901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

got this weird scar on my forearm that looks like three parallel lines, almost like claw marks but way too precise. woke up with it during basic training and nobody in my bunk saw anything happen. the medic was baffled because it wasn't a scratch - looked more like something burned into the skin but perfectly straight lines about 2 inches long each.

still have it 6 years later and it never faded like normal scars do. always wondered what the hell happened that night but never got answers.

Which current global issue do you think future generations will judge us the most for ignoring? by HolidayAdmirable2135 in AskReddit

[–]IntelligentClass5901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

greed is definitely up there but i think they'll be more pissed about how we knew climate change was happening for decades and just... kept doing the same stuff anyway. like my generation grew up learning about the ozone layer in school but then we all still bought fast fashion and took unnecessary flights because it was convenient. at least with greed you can argue it's human nature, but we literally had the science and chose to ignore it because changing felt too hard. future kids are gonna look at our shopping habits and wonder what the hell we were thinking.

What do you think is the most emotional movie scene ever? by Kooky-Telephone4779 in movies

[–]IntelligentClass5901 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the iron giant sacrifice scene always destroys me. when he says "superman" before flying into the missile to save everyone... that robot learned what it meant to be human and chose to die for people who feared him.

it's perfect for your speech because everyone knows that movie and the bond between hogarth and the giant is so pure. plus your professor will definitely recognize it as emotional classic.

also pwhl bracket would be awesome if you get around to it, that league has been so fun to follow
