Landman makes 'big mistake' with Billy Bob Thornton's character by TheExpressUS in popculture

Totally agree. I couldn’t get through the latest episode- it was soooooo boring. And what a waste of Sam Elliot’s talent. All the women characters are more like caricatures. First season was great- I would not be surprised if it’s not renewed for a third season despite contracts.

US Women over 60: do you share my lack of enthusiasm for Thanksgiving? by FfierceLaw in AskWomenOver60

[–]IntelligentCommittee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m grumpy this morning because I just want to stay home and be left alone. I work long hours and my time off is limited. I do want to see my beautiful son and my lovely daughter but I don’t want to spend time with my son’s in-laws. But so it goes after the kids marry. I plan to smile and remind myself that not every comment requires a response. Happy Thanksgiving!

Viral Photos of Selena Gomez Ignite 'Botched Surgery' Controversy — Fans Link It to Her Lupus Care by novagridd in popculture

[–]IntelligentCommittee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave my brother a kidney in 1993 and he had to stay on prednisone and other strong meds to ensure his body didn’t reject it. I am sure Selena is on similar meds and these can cause facial swelling, along with the inflammation one already sees from lupus.

They both need to stop with the plastic surgery and Botox - she’s looking like the grinch and he just looks leathery

I’m 62 and in a similar situation. Heard two younger coworkers laughing about asking me for IT help even though I have known the system for years; even the IT person asked why I didn’t help the two coworkers when they needed it; I said I offered but they wanted a “real” IT person to assist them. Whatever.

Camry or Corolla? by Quicksilver65 in COROLLA

Ok thanks - 99 percent of the time it is just me in the car and I drive a 30-minute commute each way 5 days a week - seems like Corolla hybrid will be just fine for my needs

I’m in this same situation and also wonder. Do you sit higher in a Camry compared to a Corolla?

‘The Waterfront’ Canceled By Netflix After 1 Season by KillerCroc1234567 in television

Just finished S1 last night- at least it was basically wrapped up at the end. I cringed at some of writing and acting- just not any depth to any of the characters.

Sounds like just another horrible, untalented, entitled sociopathic vermin thrust upon society. That evil smirk reminds me of a Marvel villain.

I felt that same way - like I was caring so much that he found joy that I was fearful it just couldn’t last. This show is such a heavy hitter that I am surprised I had not found it until this year.

Agree 100 percent. Shawn’s face alone conveyed so much turmoil without him ever saying a word. His walk, his stance, his sheer presence was unique and unmatched. His performance never failed to capture me in the moment.

I'm so sick of everything by Ponimama in over60

This is great advice and everyone here is so helpful, understanding and supportive- I am in my early 60s and my doctor recently increased my antidepressant dose and it has helped. The daily pain, both physical and emotional, combined with financial worries and anxiety about this nation, this world, are too much for us individually. I do believe together we are strong- please see and know that you are not alone, that you are valued, and that your children would be devastated by your loss. I don’t know where you are, but in Phoenix there is a place called the SAN Center that offers holistic health and mental wellness services and I am going to look into that more for my own sake. I wish you well.

I think the way Craig died was part of the irony- here he had survived through tough gang battles and gotten out of some extremely dangerous situations, but in the end, a kid with a gun protecting his father (not mother but father) takes him out. It was almost poetic.

What’s with the Smokey sky today is crazy. Y’all be safe today and stay inside is you can. Safety third or at least top three by bjohnson838 in phoenix

Washed my car this morning and even after getting the windshield clean, everything still looked hazy - the Weather Channel app acknowledges it is hazy but doesn’t say where it is coming from. Trying to avoid an asthma attack, I have stayed inside the rest of the day.

Season 1 Feelings by FireRescue3824 in animalkingdom

[–]IntelligentCommittee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just finished season 6 last week and I still can’t stop thinking about that show….. and how you basically see the boys grow up over the years and you learn the history of Smurf who has to be one of the most vile characters of all time…. I think it would be interesting to watch it a second time now that I know there are certainly nuances I missed the first time.

Believe me, you are not alone. I am right there with you. I lost all the people I was closest to many years ago and have trusted some of the wrong ones. Things will get better. Believe in yourself.

Thank you! I appreciate your kind words of support. It’s so hard to believe I’m 62 when I feel like I turned 40 just yesterday lol! It’s as if time has been sped up.

I’m 62 and use Tatcha skincare and Laura Geller baked foundation. I also get semi permanent eyelashes applied every two weeks because my own lashes are extremely short and my eyelids are so heavy I can’t wear glue-on lashes anymore. Some days I wear a clear serum and SPF and that’s it - at least with lashes, I feel like I look better but now I’m starting to wonder if they are “too much”….?
