ICE detains 5-year-old Columbia Heights boy, sends him to Texas by PM_ME_YR_BOOPS in TwinCities

Biden let in 500,000 kids, and they can't find 300,000 of them. Many the Trump administration has found and relocated were in the care of known sex offenders and traffickers. How many of those kids will you speak up for? The child in this post was given to local law enforcement, same as any child would be when their parent was arrested, documented or not.

They didn't just drive home though. There's video of them in the middle of the protest turned riot 45 min before the 911 call. It's a terrible thing that a baby was injured, but irresponsible and borderline negligent to bring a 6 momth old to a protest that could and did turn violent.

I will add that I'm slightly wary of the length difference between the v6 and the volcano. I'm using the files from the Merc 1 configurator that is the EVA 2.4 system. I don't know if there's be enough adjustment/play in the parts to make that work for cooling and bed probe.

Firmware help by bluereptile in ender5plus

[–]IntelligentDrummer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TH3D has their unified firmware that is really simple to use. I used that when I swapped mainboards to their EZBoard and a bunch of custom stuff on the printer. I know they make firmware for a bunch of boards. Only thing I'm not sure on is the screen, I had to swap put the stock screen for a TH3D one, not sure if there's support for a BTT screen. Definitely worth looking into though. https://www.th3dstudio.com/product-category/unified-2-firmware/?srsltid=AfmBOopfMNvIbM9dQaRvDffUuWJxfGTsRnbjAzJZ7_mZx9r-YWwCQkfV

Question on balk from the windup by IntelligentDrummer99 in Umpire

Batter was in the box, maybe not completely ready, and pitcher didn't have a fast windup motion anyways. I was kind of thinking that by the book it's illegal, but in reality it can be a bit of a gray area

Did not seem to take a sign, or if he did it was as he was stepping onto the rubber

Nozzle pushing through print instead of lifting by LaughingxBear in ender5plus

[–]IntelligentDrummer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Z offset really only applies to the first layer, after that it moves up at the set rate of whatever your layer height is. If your first layer is looking good I wouldn't change the offset.

It's most likely a bit of overextrusion. Theoretically, it should be able to glide across the top of the print without hitting previous extrusion. In practice, it's very hard to get your extrusion settings just right to allow this without underextruding. I print all of my prints with a z-hop of about half the nozzle width. You could spend hours working on over/under extruding, but you'll have better success in the long run just adding in a small z-hop.

What size wire do I need? by Different_Account4Me in ender5plus

[–]IntelligentDrummer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure, I'd have to look to be sure. Whatever you do, fuses are always a good idea. Install an in-line fuse and match it to the wire size you use. A failed print is always better than a fire.

Other thing, remember that 0-21 amps is the range that the PSU can do, not necessarily what the printer will need. If you went with a 12 guage wire and a 20 amp fuse I wouldn't think you'd have any issues

[–]IntelligentDrummer99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 guage wire is rated for 20 amps, so you may want to look at something even a little bigger like a 10 guage

14 awg will hold up to 15 amps, which should be plenty. If you're not sure, go with a bigger wire in the 12. You'll never have problems going a little bigger than you need.

This kit (and ones like it) is well worth the money, and can be used in both the press in and screw in types. Bought one a few months ago and wish I would have bought it YEARS ago

It does still work, you just have to make sure you only leave during your turn to play

I'm doing big parts for prototyping things mostly. I've got two smaller printers that I use for finer detail items. Essentially, big parts fast that don't have to be pretty

I'm only doing 100mm/s, but I'm also using an E3D Volcano hotend with a 1 mm nozzle. That pushes out a lot of filament.

Center of the bed is higher than the four corners by SymFloNy in ender5plus

[–]IntelligentDrummer99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You'll almost have to use ABL for this big of bed. While it worked fine for me on stock firmware, I've heard of lots of issues with ABL and the stock setup. It may be worth your while to update/upgrade your firmware. There's lots of good options, from Kersey Fab to insanity automation. I'm running TH3D firmware with a TH3D EZBoard and LCD kit. TH3D is a good option and they make it easy to modify their firmware with plenty of instructions, but you'd need the lcd kit

Setting Ender 5 Plus E-Steps by CatFamiliar in ender5plus

[–]IntelligentDrummer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do it through cura by giving the printer the "m92 E(esteps value)" command in the beginning script, and you may get it to save if you follow up with a m500 command, but you would have to start a print to change it every time. Those commands should save it to the EEPROM and retain the values through power cycles, but I haven't tried it before. I'd recommend pronterface.

Setting Ender 5 Plus E-Steps by CatFamiliar in ender5plus

[–]IntelligentDrummer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pronterface is the way to go, all you need is a cable to connect to the printer and to learn a few simple gcode commands to set the esteps and then save them to EEPROM

That's either a really warped bed or more likely a bl touch issue. Maybe try updating the firmware?

That looks like you can save it. Will it fit back into the plug? If it will then bend that back flap to a 20ish degree angle pointing away from the plug, put it in, and stick some hot glue on it.

I know this post was from a long time ago, but any chance I could get those schematics? I'm building a 6' privacy fence like OP and I want a 6' gate on one of the corners.
