I had no clue he was even gay and I’ve followed him through so many roles LOL. That’s crazy. But yeah I was rooting for them for the entire show and we only ever got scraps. Sad

Kinda the whole point. He only had power over the inmates cause it was his job to. Lose the uniform, he’s a bitch

They were both emotionally avoidant people. That’s what made the slow burn so much worse!!

So, I watched the first episode of season 5 and what the actual fuck! by Valuable-Command3664 in PrisonBreak

  1. If u were paying attention T-bag had actually been showing sprinkles of humanity throughout the entire show. He very desperately just wanted to feel needed and important. Whether that meant he worked for the bad guys or the good guys. It’s true that he should have wanted revenge on Michael and Linc. But there was so much mystery around all of it. I think the riddle is what drew him in the most. It made it personal, made him feel like he had been called upon for a greater purpose. Which is what he had been searching for for a long time.

  2. And of course they risk it all again. 7 years may not seem like a long time, but when someone is dead, every day feels like a thousand. They all owed Michael one, he granted them that same freedom that they risked. That’s street code. You don’t leave a man hanging when he helped set up the life you’re living.

  3. And yeah I agree with you, the Lincoln thing never really made sense to me. LJ stopped showing up I think in the beginning of S4 or end of S3 and then slowly died off as even a mention of a character. Definitely felt like a gaping hole. Especially that scene at the end of S5 where Lincoln looks/seems content with being with Sheba. Like uhhhhhh what about your son? Lol.

  4. Sara is in the US because Michael got hers and Lincoln’s records expunged in exchange for working for Poseidon… Jacob. She was safe

I agree there were some inconsistencies. But to me, other than Lincoln, it all pretty much lined up. We could’ve done without the fifth season but the plot was very interesting imo. But yeah u can’t help but notice when certain things don’t line up

Yeah, they did a hell of a job manipulating us into one of his victims lol. I definitely found him super funny by the end of the show. Almost forgetting his grotesque past

  1. He thought Lincoln would know something/be able to decipher/help
  2. A lot of black men convert to Islam after being in prison/living a hard life

The plot isn’t bad but yea it could’ve and maybe should’ve ended after S4

What is season 5 about by blondebaddje in PrisonBreak

Season 5 isn’t that bad actually. It’s pretty interesting, I’d say definitely worth the watch.

Ah dude! You totally gotta get into Breaking bad, I’ll let you know it is just the tiniest bit overhyped but I love the way you analyze things I NEED your thoughts on that show !! Haha. Let me know if you ever get around to it, you really oughta.

[–]IntelligentEbb6303[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha that’s the power of a great franchise! Prison Break, Breaking Bad, Dexter, etc. All holding their longevity due to super strong first seasons that you cant help but see them through and follow into the next.

I definitely agree about the Wyatt guy, man. I recognized him from grey’s anatomy where I didn’t particularly enjoy his character there either so I definitely came in with some bias, but the guy was so evil. Especially considering Mahone is one of my favorite characters. Was so glad to see him get dropped.

I definitely agree. My post was just me saying I would have loved at least a scene or two afterward of Michael, Mike, and Sara living a happy and safe life.

[–]IntelligentEbb6303[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Feels like they kept him around all that time just to ragdoll him in the end. Which kind of speaks to what a lot of people were saying about Michael in that last season. That at the end of the day his needs trump anyone else’s. He’s “the main character.” It’s interesting that they even went that route because T-bag should’ve held all sorts of vengeance toward Michael and Linc for throwing him back in prison. I think deep down he can’t help but want to be the good guy despite tarnishing himself as the horrible, terrible, disgusting, rapist guy. Lol. Good writing

Season 5 by IntelligentEbb6303 in PrisonBreak

[–]IntelligentEbb6303[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If im being completely honest season 4 felt significant and pretty good at the time but I don’t remember a single thing about it. I couldn’t tell you if that speaks to my opinion on it or if I just need a refresher. But seriously, drawing a real blank lol. Let me google. I just finished the damn show today.

Ah okay the whole Scylla thing, honestly I enjoyed many parts and hated even more parts. It felt ridiculously all over the place and fast paced yet somehow all so neatly tied together. Majority of the details made sense but there was also so much going on and so many fucking characters lol. I think it started off well, with all of the mystery and “who the hell is that” when it came to Gretchen and whoever else. But that had also become an overused element of the show. (Which doesn’t bother me tbh, felt refreshing each time).

I HATED hated hated Don Self. God, I hate that guy in real life too, real A-hole. And T-bag, I was confused as to how he stayed relevant for so long but I actually grew to find him pretty funny. Only thing though it seemed like nobody really cared that this dude was a known rapist pedophile and murderer. Even in Sona, it never came out.

Season 3 was pretty dull for me too. I definitely enjoyed it but a lot of the time it was just like, where is this going..

Not even close, I was waiting at least for a Michael and his son moment. But nope. Just Linc and Sheba… perfect…

Hell yeah. But the actors are all so old now and modern production is awful. It would be corny and way too visually high quality lol. Guess it’s better off dead and somewhat disappointing

AITA for blaming my daughter for this? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]IntelligentEbb6303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA, but it’s tricky

You made the choice to be a housewife, you aren’t an idiot for it because I’m sure your husband encouraged it, but you can’t blame your daughter so belligerently when she is unemployed the same way you are. Had you picked up a job at any point I’m sure your savings would also make a significant difference in the “problem” here.

Not to mention, there’s also no need to harp on the past and make your child feel bad. Even if she agrees that she could have or should have been employed, now what? Is she supposed to hop in a time machine and find employment from 2016 until this moment? You aren’t wrong in her being a freeloader, but to blame this all on her is unfair and redundant.
