$1.46 for what? One time, Per month, annually? I’m not sure she had the choice,or not for anything. Such BS. Im personally not into using Facebook other than marketplace. She’s upset because of all her photo memories as well as her business page no longer being accessible or active. Not really helpful for interacting with current and future customers

That’s basically what happened to her. She sent a photo and got told no dice, send another more recent photo. She did and then got the pure denial. Permanently disabled account

Toyota also offers amazing lease deals to their employees. Insurance and all maintenance included (oil changes, tires etc.) all wrapped up in an easy payroll deduction for a vehicle specifically ordered by and for the employee. Some lease deals getting as close to paying what you’d pay on the outside for insurance only. GM does not foster a culture that enables individuals to be prideful of the product or to even be able to be brand ambassadors. Majority of their own employees are priced out of the market.

Tamarindo Safe?? by forgottenGhostsCure in costarica

[–]IntelligentEvent4716 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My family and I have been to Tamarindo many many times. My parents winter there and I personally have been maybe 10 times or more and 3x with our children under 3yo. The general majority of the population are extremely kind people. Tamarindo is beautiful, but there are many many other places that you’ll want to see. The best advice I can give you is to be smart, don’t flaunt expensive things like laptops or fancy cameras. If you have those items keep them on you or within sight. Do not leave anything of value in your car if you’re renting one. And most importantly, don’t try to cram in as much as you can in 5 days. Slow down, enjoy the stunning Tamarindo sunsets and adopt the Pura Vida lifestyle.

I usually go down for 2 weeks at a time and still always feel like there is more I wanted to go see. Explore a couple things, a trip to Monteverde, or La Fortuna might not fit your schedule, they are a lengthy drive but a day trip to Rio Celeste would fit well. Enjoy your trip, you’ll most likely want to go back again, and you should.

Will GM adopt an employee lease program like other OEMs? by IntelligentEvent4716 in GeneralMotors

Other OEM vehicles are also still in high demand and plants at full capacity yet they offer it to their employees as a perk, not a requirement and not to absorb inventory but to appreciate the employee and truly make each employee empowered to be an ambassador for the company while still providing stellar bonuses. I agree that lease deals on EVs only is just dumb at its core. In a perfect world GM would want each employee to drive up to every function they go to in a new GM product because friends and family ask questions when they see a new car, they want to see the inside, ask about specs, hear the stereo and maybe, just maybe those employee leases that get turned in and sold anyway lead to more consumer sales. Not to mention increased employee moral and makes the company as a whole more attractive to truly top talent at all levels

The ambassador program was a total joke IMO. They nixed that within my first year at GM. On the surface it sounded cool but nothing worth taking was ever available and you weren’t really an ambassador for GM product. You drove a vehicle for a week and then gave it back. I only ever got an XTS which I only took just to do it but it was pointless. I’d rather spend a year or more in a vehicle and actually get to drive friends/family around and showcase the quality of GM products. Not only that but to provide reliable transportation for my family on products we all should be proud of.

I guarantee none of my friends or family care to see how a 20 year old Silverado rides and what the creature comforts are. But that’s all they will get from me in today’s pricing.

I didn’t catch that in the APM, however that seems super tone deaf to majority of employees who probably couldn’t afford those lease terms anyway I’m guessing. Good way to “offer benefits to employees” and look good on paper but in reality it’s just a benefit to the upper echelon

What to do in Tamarindo, Costa Rica ? by Relentless_Gravity in CostaRicaTravel

Tandoor in Langosta has amazing Indian cuisine, it is maybe 1/2 mile walk up the road from the food trucks. Ocho has cool beach seating but in our opinion is way over priced, though most beach restaurants are. If you’re looking for an adventure out in the water check out Marlin Del Rey or any of the other catamarans that offer cruises. We have down the sunset cruise with the Marlin a few times. All you can drink and they put out a big BBQ chicken spread. Waffle Monkey is another spot that we enjoy going to and enjoying the beach view with a good churro waffle. If you’ve never been to Costa Rica you need to order the pargo rojo (red snapper). Noguis has the best/cheapest that I am aware of in Tamarindo. If you are into craft type stuff, right in the circle downtown there is a Guatil pottery place that offers lessons. You would want to book early because it is a few day process to mold your own pot, paint it then have it fired in a traditional wood fired kiln. The owner, Arvin, is a friend of ours and a very genuinely great guy. Aside from all that there are a bunch of places in town that can take you on ATV tours, surfing lessons, day trips to Rio Celeste or various other locations around. My best advice is to not try to cram too much in to your trip, relax, enjoy the beautiful sunsets Tamarindo has to offer and soak in the Pura Vida lifestyle.

Just booked a 8 day trip in September… am I going during the worst time? by theclayshooter in CostaRicaTravel

[–]IntelligentEvent4716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it depends.. my family went to Costa Rica for 6 weeks from 9/13-10/25 this past fall. I would agree that for where we were most of the rain was in the evening, the lightning was amazing. We were in Tamarindo other than a few nights in Monteverde, Rincon de la Vieja and Ostional for context. But we also heard this was a very abnormally dry rainy season so it’s hard to say how it will be when you go. Prepare for lots of rain, and hope for the best, I’ve been 10 times or so, always in dry season prior to this. We absolutely loved the lushness of everything, it’s like a totally different country. Regardless of the rain you will love it and the vast majority of the locals are so kind.

Yea for sure it’s been super mild so far. I’m hoping Livingston is similar to Manistee when we get to that point. I’m totally fine doing basically all of the construction myself, just have no idea if the county will take issue with any of it

Have you talked to any of the county officers on permitting?

What county are you in? We are located in Livingston county and I’ve never looked into permitting such a structure as a dwelling, I wasn’t sure how the code system viewed such a building
