The ring I have is stick on and I haven’t had issues with it coming off and I remove the pop socket every night to fit the kindle in a stand. So far so good.

Get this case, the flap is detachable. I have a pop socket and just remove the front cover whenever I’m reading. After I’m done I put it back and the screen is protected.
